Had I read and practice these habits in high school I believe I would have been built differently as an adult. Now I'm implementing this to my 11 year old.
Great for teens. If they read it is a different story lol
Get them to make a plan, not a book report ✅ and start a mini business
The story line was intriguing
Good knowledge
Bought for my son who turned 13 a few months ago. Great book for a teen!
As an adult, I knew that I had unresolved childhood trauma to address, and I was stuck on where to start with that personal work. In my memoir, I call my path to healing 'eclectic' as I looked outside the box to see what was there that would speak to all the versions of me: the child, the post-abuse years teen, young adult and so on... The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens spoke directly to the "younger me" who lacked models for the kinds of habits Sean Covey shares in this book. It’s more than a guide for teens—it’s a valuable resource for anyone needing to go back a few steps and rebuild their confidence, especially if you’ve faced difficult circumstances early in life. I found the principles easy to follow, empowering, and incredibly effective for self-reflection. I’ve also recommended this book to young women I mentor, especially those navigating difficult relationships with their parents, to help them find their path toward authentic, confident independence. Whether you're a teen or an adult looking to reset, this book provides a solid foundation for personal growth and positive change. I recommend also purchasing the companion workbook, which is likewise very easy to follow.
When it first arrived, I was upset because I thought it was a book. Then, I opened it & looked at some of the cards. I decided to make a card a week for our kids to write a small writing assignment for our homeschool. Today was the 1st day. They all loved the content of the cards & the assignment. The cards really get them thinking about self-improvement & critical thinking. I highly recommend this.
