Some good ideas for middle and high school counselors
Bought this hoping it could give fun creative ideas for therapy for teens. The title is misleading as most of these ideas were not games, more so discussions and group activities. It is better designed for group therapy than individual. Most of the ideas were generic and stuff I already use or do in therapy, so felt like a waste of $ spent on this book. nice to generate ideas otherwise I guess but overall not the most helpful book.
I thought this was an excellent book. The recommended activities and techniques were useful and relevant. Overall I felt this was a helpful book for any professional working with teens. Offered good details on how to execute the activities and what the benefits were for the participants.
As a middle school counselor, I am always looking for activities to do with whole group, small group, and individuals. This is great.
this book has a lot of good ideas and gave me more ideas on therapeutic activities
I like how the chapters are presented.
The kids I work with really enjoy these games, especially if Candy is a prize
This book has so many great ideas for activities and is easily organized by category. A lot of the activities work best for groups but can be modified for individual.
