My son loves when I read this to him. I do the signs and then love his hands to do the same. He gets so happy and giggles whenever I love his hands to follow the signs. Right now he is only 4 months but I can see how when he gets older this will be useful for his communication and fine motor skills. The pictures and simple and the sentences are kid friendly, engaging and informative.
I purchased this book to learn sign language for my grandson who is 15 months old and speech delayed. It is very good quality, easily understood. It has most of the signs you will need for your infant or toddler to learn to communicate. I used this book daily until I learned all of the signs I needed. Was a good purchase and good price. Would purchase again.
I bought this book because I wanted to learn more sign language signs along with my baby. I like that all the signs are practical and useful. For a total sign language beginners like myself, some of the instructions didn’t make complete sense so I did have to YouTube some to make sure I was doing them right. Overall, I have been enjoying this book in the library to practice and learn alongside my baby.
Many years ago I taught infant/toddler signs. I found this book to be just right for new families. The pictures are fun, signs are simple. A great was to communicate with a little one.
I got a pair of these books (bogo 50% off) for myself & my daughter to teach her future son signs before he cam speak. It's a very good book with great illustrations. I love the idea and this book will be a handy tool. Directions are clear with pictures and arrows to make these signs a no-brainer.
I love this book for my baby & myself! It’s a super easy read and a cute way to learn ASL!
The little descriptions of the sign and illustrated are so helpful and easy for even my toddler to understand with help. I love the diversity they show in the book. One baby has vitiligo and my toddler asked about the baby. I got to explain how every body looks different. And how we have "spits" (freckles) and it's kind of the same as that baby's white "spots." Obviously that is an over simplified explanation for a toddler but I love that I can start exposing her to those things! We are learning ASL for my infant son who is hard of hearing and this is a fantastic first book to get us started.
The images and the instructions are great to show the baby and learn yourself. Wish there were more pages though, good for starters as it has the main things you'd want to know as feedback from baby.
