I’ve purchased a lot of logic puzzle workbooks. This book (and its predecessor) are hands down the best. The puzzles are challenging yet fair. Instructions are short and clear. But what really separates this book is the variety and quantity of puzzles. In so many other books the same type of puzzle is repeated for page after page and it gets boring/repetitive. In this book, almost every page is a unique puzzle. And the puzzles are organized by category and get harder as you go within each section. All of that gives my kids the flexibility to jump around based on their mood or interest. They LOVE this book.
I like the book because it is for young children. But the puzzles are difficult. I gave a copy to an elderly friend who said to me, 'They lie. This is not something for children!' As challenging as the puzzles are, they are different and take time. Satisfying when you complete the puzzle. So good that the answers are in the back of the book.
Grandchild very busy ..
I have a 7 year old who loves learning. She loves learning the ins and outs and wondering how things tick. This book was a great one for her to open on Easter. She opened it and got right to work. There are a wide variety of activities that are helpful in keeping kids entertained or making them feel less like they are "working" and learning and more about having fun. We plan on using this guy in the summer for road trips and especially during those moments when "i'm bored" becomes a theme and quiet time is necessary!
My kid (8 years old) seems to like this book ok. I tear out the pages and give them to her one at a time when she’s bored, or on a break from school. She seems to enjoy the puzzles, and at least she’s not just on the tablet or watching TV.
As a homeschool mom, Im always on the hunt for fun learning opportunities-We got this book for my 8yo to put in his Easter basket and he has yet to put it down! It has a nice mix of challenges, but also some that are easier to give him confidence to keep going! My 7yo got the level down and it is right up his alley! Highly recommend for eager curious kids! They both can’t wait to finish and start the next books!
Great book! lots of interesting exercises. I helped my boy solve them. With a little push he was able to do the rest. Very fun! I see it as a logic exercises for pre-programming without a computer.
Our son loves the games and puzzles in this book. It has helped helped develop his problem solving and complex reasoning skills.
