This has been the best book I’ve read all year. Its insights were incredibly enlightening and aligned perfectly with the phase of life I’m in—focused on increasing my peace of mind. I absolutely love how simple and easy it was to follow. This book felt like a breath of fresh air, and I will definitely read it again! It offered profound truths in a way that didn’t feel overwhelming, making it a perfect guide for anyone seeking inner calm and clarity.
I finished this book in 5 days because it’s that good! It’s only around 94 pages, with summaries for another 20 or so pages, for reference. I am a chronic over thinker, which does lead to anxiety, stress, depression, and I didn’t know where to begin to start. This book actually showed me. And I cannot say I have ever experienced that before. Focusing on the past and future creates over-thinking, but focusing on the present puts one’s mind at ease. My favorite quote: “if you don’t overthink and truly let the answers surface from within you, without that thought, you will most likely feel happy, peaceful, free, and light.”
For such a small book, I can say I have had big changes in my life since I read it. Remember that feeling as a kid and waking up to a whole new day of adventures to plan for the day? When you get your self to a place of being present, or in the flow, life is like that of a child’s…no worries and no ego driving you and your thoughts. This is where I want to be…living in the present and not suffering due to my thoughts. I caught myself having negative thinking when I was sick with Covid recently and I changed my thinking to thought. It helped so much and I am back living in joy again! I am 61 years old and have struggled with depression for decades. This book, along with using some apps to meditate, has provided me with what I have been searching for all along. I am at peace with myself and I feel wonderful! People have commented to me that I seem so happy and that they love my energy. I’m not that shy and awkward person I used to be. Now I am confident and happy 😊.
Which is realize is slightly ironic. This book was not what I expected but it is interesting. It invites a closer examination of metacognition and how our thoughts, thinking patterns, and world views influence our happiness.
Great book great explanation of things making it very easy and interesting to read and follow. I'm am ordering 2 more of this authors books he did such great job on this one
After seeing a lot of people on TikTok reviewing this book and giving it high rating's, I had to check it out for myself. Starting the book I thought it would be like any other book I’ve gotten, read the first couple pages then stop reading it all together, but that wasn’t the case for this book. It had me instantly hooked, it was like the book was reading every thought I had ever had. It allowed me to catch the exact moment I have a negative feeling and taught me how to deal with it in a healthy manner. It has helped me in many situations. I even lent it to some of my friends and they felt the same way. It’s a great book and worth the read :)
I’ve been going through a lot lately and overthinking way too much to the point that I almost lost myself to the trick that our mind can cause us go through, I could go on and on, but I am here to say that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book, easy to read and easy to understand, it’s like the book is speaking to you without you reading it, it’s amazing, very helpful as well, as it says (Don’t Believe Everything You Think) and that’s totally true, you need to buy this book and start to read ASAP, I am very happy I found it and I am about to buy the other books the author has written, Joseph Nguyen thank you so much and can’t wait to read your other books 🤗🙏😇😘

It makes so much sense, it is easy to follow and there are so many moments of “wow I wish I knew this earlier.” I love how Joseph weaves psychology and philosophy together. It is truly very easy to stop believing your negative thoughts and start living a life you deserve in the present moment. Buy this book it is worth it!
