Great book
It arrived very quickly, I was pleased the protector and book itself wasn’t damaged.
The book is short, which could be a good thing for some, but I found that it was lacking depth. Definitely business focused so it reads like emotional intelligence is for being more productive at work with little attention given to EQ in the context of your personal life. The Emotional Intelligence test that is included with the book is a self assessment test that is short and the questions are very transparent like "Do you think about others when making decisions?" And you rate yourself from "Never" to "Always". I recommend Daniel Goleman's Emotional Intelligence over this book. It's more dense but it has the depth that the topic deserves.
But I was able to take my emotional intelligence quiz
Great book - Highly recommend Had the whole management team read this book
I believe this is a vary valuable resource and MANY people need to read it but most of the people that NEED to read it probably won't WANT to read it. I scored 80-90 (on my first test) on all the levels and found MOST of the information basic. But was very eager to learn and improve in any and all areas I can! The biggest issue with people that score lower thougj is usually that they just don't care about other people's emotions so getting them to read the books and level up may be difficult. I would like to see schools and businesses using these tools to build up there employees though! That would be very exciting to see :) I did get a second book for my husband to take the test and help us try to work on new skills together figuring it would help work just as much as home and family life !
Very nice book
Included with the book is a helpful assessment for the reader to first understand their own level of emotional intelligence. This sets the foundation for the reader to understand the book’s four primary primary principles: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Understanding and applying these principles can help the reader communicate and develop meaningful relationships at work, with family, and in social environments. I found the book to be rich with insights and practical take aways and would recommend it to the Amazon community.
