From Amazon Charts bestselling author Emilia Finn, comes this spicy and addictive standalone MMA sports romance. My name is Bobby Kincaid, and I met the woman of my dreams last night in a dark club. We drank.
We danced. We shared a part of our souls, and a belly-firing kiss that has left me hard and desperate for more. I begged for her number, but all I got was the view of her slender back, little black dress, and flowing blonde hair as she slid into a car with another dude.
Just like that, she drove out of my life, determined to never see me again. But I wouldn’t be me if not for my tenacity and a streak of stubborn most others call a flaw. I’m looking for you, Kit Reilly.
And I’m not walking away from this fight till the final bell. Finding Home is a humorous, action-packed, steaming hot standalone sports romance with no cliffhanger, written by a real-life, full-contact fighter. Scroll up now and one-click your copy.

First I want to say this book was well written. I found very little typos or grammatical errors. It’s a classic love story between the tough, hard-core fighter and the sweet, shy nerdy girl. There were many times during character conversations that I found myself smiling or laughing. A lot of the characters were rich, well rounded individuals with their own personalities. So why 3 stars? First, there were several storyline issues that just weren’t believable. A high-school principle telling a guardian or parent that he doesn’t “have the time or patience” to meet with her? Telling her point blank that her kid is worthless and is just slated to be a criminal? That his family is she should just give up on him? Nah, not buying it. I get she wanted to make him into a bad guy, but that was waaaaaay over the top. And when Kit, the female MC, is confronted by a man for sexual favors, he wouldn’t keep running his mouth after already getting decked in the face and then being surrounded by several MMA fighters. But he does. Lewdly, too. Unless the guy had a death wish, which did not come across. The were a couple inconsistencies with the female main character’s personality, too, that kinda grated on me. One second she’s the quiet, sadly tragic young woman who struggles frequently with her self-image and confidence, but then flips to a raging b**** in the next sentence. She completely flies off the handle over some perceived slight she completely imagines. And the sex scenes? She was, uh...very much NOT shy. It just isn’t consistent with her character throughout the book. Now, had the author diagnosed her with bipolar disorder, or an alter ego, I might cut the girl some slack. The male MC made me cringe a few times. I’m all for the rough and tumble guy who secretly has a soft side, but Bobby was just an over-eager puppy who admitted to Kit that he wanted a date in hopes of touching her boobs. Seriously, WTF? Who says that?! Speaking of what people say, I detest people calling each other “baby”, so I quickly got tired of reading “baby” or “babe” in nearly every line of dialogue between the two MCs. But then sometimes Bobby would throw in an “Oh, honey,” that had me picturing him as a 50-year old black woman. It just didn’t fit, you know? Well, anyways. There it is. I read it. I didn’t hate it. I just didn’t...not hate it? Overall, still a cute, heartwarming read.
This was my first MMA romance and it was much better than I expected. Bobby and his band of brothers are a great group of guys and a gal and I’m assuming this series will take each one in turn for an HEA. I did not expect to enjoy reading about female fighting. What a great twist to have Kit start at the beginning to work out and train when she took her brother and his friends to the gym. I felt like the author had studied training and wrote about it realistically, but I could be wrong because I know nothing about it lol. I won’t spoil any plot twists but this book is not all unicorns and rainbows. There’s plenty of slow burn between Kit and Bobby and I liked that. It matched up more with where Kit was in her life. Her last parent has just died, she broke up with her cheating bf, she’s raising her rebellious 15 yo brother, she is trying to work full time to support them, and there’s no extra money sitting around. She has responsibilities and stress and can’t just jump into a heavy affair in an instant. Bobby is a fantastic book boyfriend, no complaints about him at all. Kit doesn’t make it easy on him, but he sees a woman worth being patient and fighting for. All of the characters in their circle were likable and easy to root for. Ready to continue this series!

I recently found this author and am I ever happy about that. This is only my second book but this is one very talented author. Kit graduated from college and works with numbers at an office doing financial work. Her father recently died of cancer. Her mom had died when she was young. This left her to raise her 15 year old brother Jack who had been allowed to run wild by her dad. Jack was doing poorly in school ,getting into trouble, and very disrespectful. His friends had been going to a fighting gym and Kit heard the boys discussing it. She decided maybe Jack should try it but money is tight. He volunteered to work the cost off by helping at the gym. Bobby Kincaid is a famous prize fighter who has been very successful. He is part owner of a fighting gym with his 3 brothers. Bobby had met Kit 3 weeks prior at the club her best friend bartends at. They hit it off. They had talked for hours, danced, and kissed but they were interrupted by Jack and his friends misbehaving. Bobby never got her number but is thrilled to have her info now. This story is heartwarming, sexy, with awesome characters with such a close family feeling. There is love, hatred, danger, jealousy, and much more. On to the next book.
It was a very good story and the writing itself was good. I just found it to be a little anti-climactic. I know there is another book for them but I figured with the build up we had that there would have been at least something big at the end. There was the issue of how quickly the I love yous came. Legit we are saying it on the first date after she wasn’t even sure she should go? With that being said It is a quick read and pretty enjoyable. More of a palette cleanser book.
I need to stop reading books that make me emotional, lol! I’m already in a very vulnerable state and don’t like when I feel like I want to cry while reading. What’s funny is I didn’t want to cry because of anything sad. Yes this book was intense and the beginning was sad but it was just how Bobby is with Kit and the very end of this book that I was starting to get tested up. Took literally till the end of the book to make me feel this way. Amazing book. Love the storyline and the chemistry between Bobby and Kit.
