I really like this author and the story line that she has created. Though, I do have some issues and it seems to be a recurring theme. The ending in this of each book in the series seems to always end abruptly. We get a nice build and then boom done. Yes, there is an epilogue but it just seems rushed at in the final chapters. My biggest pet peeve is whoever edited this book needs to do their job correctly or the author NEEDS to find someone else. The first three books in the series were fine. This book was great with a good build but was awful, in the editing department. It is very frustrating when you have a good book where you can actually feel the emotions that the author is trying to convey only to have it ruined because of a typo or the same paragraph is repeated because the editor wasn't paying attention. Yes, I understand everyone makes mistakes, but if you to be taken seriously these types of errors which could've been corrected in the final proof read can ruin it for the reader and make them not want to read you in the future. I say this because I am in the 4th chapter in Dirty Score the 5th book in the series and it was almost like nobody did a final proof read. It detracts from a good book. The reason I gave four stars instead of one is because I really do like this author and the way she makes you feel the emotions. If it were based solely on editing she would be in the negative.
Few too many spelling errors and words left out or added, but liked the story. Can’t wait for the rest of them now!
It was the same recipe as a couple of the same books but with a better twist. I love a strong, confident female lead!
To the author . I have read four books of your series and they have such amazing potential. This book has some of the worse edits and really needs looked through again. It seemed like a whole page or conversation between the characters was missing. The main character asked a question and there was no response from the female character . It skipped to a whole different conversation. Several words were missing vowels or just missing completion all together. I think as you grow as an author you have the potential to be just as good as Lucy score and others . I plan to keep reading this series despite its flaws. But I highly encourage you to have someone re-edit your books and check for plot holes and grammar issues.
This may have been my favorite one so far! This story follows Ryker and Juliet. Ryker is the caption of the hockey team and is in threat of being deported back to Canada because of an immigration application mix up. In a panic he meets a beautiful girl in the hockey stadium parking lot saving her from slipping on the ice and makes and offer she can’t refuse. See, Juliet’s brother is autistic and needs to be in a new care facility but her family can’t afford it. She’s hoping to land the Hawkeyes party planning gig at a job presentation coming up. But when she runs in Ryker the offer is simple, marry him for two years to help him get his green card and he’ll pay for her brothers care and guarantee her the new job position. Marrying a stranger seems like it would be awkward but Juliet and Ryker seem to have chemistry right off the bat and it’s almost like they’ve known each other for a long time. They were always comfortable with each other and attracted to each other so they were acting like a couple and falling pretty quickly. I loved when they went to visit his family in Canada. They were all so close and they healed something in Juliet and welcomed her like a sibling/daughter already. Ryker was the best husband anyone could ask for and the perfect gentlemen from the very beginning. The spice was good, i loved their relationship and Juliet was a good FMC.
it was okay. A lot of grammatical errors on this book just like the previous one. The storyline was cute although rushed and too hallmark channel.
Honestly, the story was fun and I enjoyed the book. The editing is terrible. A character was named, and three lines later, his name was misspelled. Words were left out of sentences. It's sloppy. I borrowed the book, but if I'd paid for it, I'd have been disappointed and, really, aggravated by the lack of care. If writing is something this woman does to support herself, she should find an editor who cares about the finished product more than whoever is currently working on her books.
Now I really can’t decide which one of the books in this series I like more. Each pair of couples have their ups and downs, and their own heat, but there was something about this one that I feel was my favorite.I even enjoyed the epilogue at the end. Another quick and utterly cute read.
