I loved this book! It was impossible to put down, even at night. xD The enemies to lovers theme, the angst, the drama, the plot progression - everything was perfect. The character development was interesting and I really liked the main characters. The only thing that was a bit hard to digest at first was the young age of the characters, but I quickly got over it. Thank you for this story. :)
I read God of Fury before I read this one and after seeing how Brandon's parents were in that book I wanted to read their story. Really enjoyed learning more about the King family and why some of them are the way they are. The struggles they face, the hardships and heartache.
4⭐️ 3🌶️ So far I have read 5 Rina Kent books and at this point I feel like all these characters are just trauma bonded 😂😂 HOWEVER I STILL LOVE IT EVERY SINGLE TIME 🤷🏽♀️ I was so invested from the beginning, and I loved how fast paced and straight to the point this book was. Levi being described as looking like a Viking was surprising because that’s not how I pictured him from other books. He was another ride or die, obsessive MMC and I LOVE that for him. But specially, I love that for her 😍🖤 Another great dark/bully romance 💘
Exception book exceptional this book was perfect. I love the characters. The intensity, the draw the side characters. The best friends, the MMC, the MFC. This book was exceptional. I guess I need to buy it because I will be reading it again.
This was an okay read. There was not enough context behind the developing emotions between the fmc & mmc for my tastes. I need to feel, and thus believe, how the mc's get from point a to point b as their feelings for one another grow. In this story, we're essentially told they feel a certain way - and in the next we're told they feel another. The contextualized buildup was sorely missing in such a way that I just couldn't really connect to the characters or their relationship. It's not a bad read at all - it just wasn't a very good one. There was nothing that set it apart from being anything other than basic.
I love this story. It’s sad at times but of so happy to. There’s nothing like two sad people finding each other. A true anti-hero story.
I was a little afraid to start reading Rina Kent, because there are certain types of dark romance that don't work for me and I didn't want to be disappointed. I decided to start with this book, as I want to read the whole universe and I am following the reading order on her website. I can say that this book did not disappoint. I'm not going to lie, in the beginning this book was not keeping my attention and I was struggling to connect to it. But then Astrid and Levi started growing on me as their relationship grow. I loved Levi as a love interest, he is so possessive which I love and he never crossed a line that makes me not like a hero in a dark romance. Everything he was doing was fine to me, he never made me question why she was falling in love with him. Astrid is my girl, I love her, so strong and not letting anyone put her down. Loved the growth of her relationship with her father and how she healed from everything that happened to her. Also, her parents love story is so cute, I would definitely read a book about it. I liked a lot the fact that there was a little bit of mystery about the two accidents. I think mystery always adds to the plot of a romance novel, I like when the romance has a strong plot behind to accompany the relationship, it makes you want to contine reading and never stop. The four horsemen are so funny and I really want to read more about them. To conclude, I really want to continue being in this universe, so I will read all the other books. I loved Rina Kent's writing, how compulsive it is, you never want to stop. All of my fears were completely dissipated, I hope I love all the others. I was missing dark romance, I am glad I'm back to enjoying it!
After reading the stories about all of the kids, it’s nice to get a taste of the parents. Especially since I heard about them in their children’s stories. Again, this story doesn’t disappoint. It’s not as hard-core as the kids’ stories, which I really liked. The story was so well put together that I couldn’t put it down. I love this author. I love her creativity, wording, and how she fully immerses you in every scene and character’s mind.
