I lost weight simply by reading this.

Ok so I'm an average 350 lbs guy with a habit of midnight snacking. I was watching some late night infomercial when I saw this on TV. I immediately jumped up from my couch, causing my TV dinner trays to fly into midair splattering food all over the floor. I ordered the book from Amazon.com, because, let's face it, we all know Amazon has the best price. After receiving the book in the mail I dropped 15 lbs immediately. Then at 335 lbs I began reading the first 10 pages, and to my amazement I dropped another 20 lbs. At first I thought I was hallucinating from the methamphetamine that I had just smoked earlier, but to my amazement I was actually losing weigh. I may also like to note that the food appears to be synthesizing before my eyes as I read the ingredients. It was as if the meals were cook right inside of the pages. I am now in an Belgium lunatic asylum, but I look great in a straight jacket.

Can Not accurately calculate Smart Points.

I bought this when I saw the price drop. I was looking through the book and figuring out Smart Points for a few of the main dish recipes that appealed to me. None of these had sugar listed in the nutritional information, however I didn't think much of it since they were mostly meat and vegetables. Then I went to a dessert and was figuring out Smart Points.... Once again - no sugar. I read the recipe, and it called for powdered sugar. It turns out that we are not given sufficient information to correctly calculate Smart Points. Disappointing.

There were so many books to choose from that I couldn't decide which one I wanted. Amazon has so many products and it is so much fun just glancing through all of them. I had to return this one because it was just not the book I thought it would be. The return process was so easy. Unfortunately I wasn't able to copy the return label they e-mail because I didn't have printer paper or printer ink. I had a "chat" with Amazon, which is amazing also, and was told it was no problem. She told me that she would have UPS pick it up and she would notify them to do so, don't know what she did. I put it on the doorstep and put a note on it for UPS to pick it up. It was picked up with a return notification for my records. The "chat" I had was so incredibly easy and helpful to me it's the only way to get help immediately. I will never order from any other company. Keep it up Amazon you are amazing!!!!

Ok if you live in a city or suburbs

Writers of cookbooks need to realize that not everyone lives in or near a city that has access to every possible ingredient. I suppose the recipes are good ones, but in going through the book several times, I will need to make a lot of substitutions which would compromise the point value. I find this a lot in Weight Watchers cookbooks. We live in a rural community and finding things like fennel and arugula are almost impossible unless I make a two hour round trip to Madison, WI. Things do get easier in summer when I can grow my own or hit the farmer's markets.

You don't miss the extra fat or calories in any of these recipes. Very family friendly food I can cook for my teenage sons and husband and not have to make something separate for me. Lots of variety of food and great recipes....got the kids to love lentil stew. I use this all the time now.

I have prepared a few of the dishes from this cookbook and they met my expectations. Like most Weight Watchers recipes, spices and herbs need to be increased to achieve the best flavor. To my surprise, two of the best sections of this cookbook cover desserts and breads/grains.The added information throughout the book about nutrition and tips on "how to" make it an excellent book for someone just beginning to cook. Most of the recipes are easy to make and the directions are well stated.

Made several of these recipes in the past couple of weeks, really good. Easy to read and recipes are easy to follow. First time I had cookbook opened on kitchen counter though, the binding cracked and some pages separated. But of course it's still usable; could I have overused it in 2 weeks? I could have done with less seafood recipes, but that's just me. I did bring into work and my coworkers loved it also and are ordering it.
