Didn't include a lot of colleges and universities. This book is much better: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0593517504?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
We love this book for out older son who is now a junior in college. We got the new edition for our high school senior. Is great as gives "overlaps" for schools that your child might have interest in and gives good overall summary of a school without being overly detailed. However, the first two schools we looked up both had errors. They were both about sports affiliations, so not a big deal, but just makes you a little leery about what else they may have gotten wrong . . .
Loved this book when we ordered the 2023 year version, but disappointed to see that almost the exact same review is written in the paragraphs about the schools. Ratings such as acceptance rates do appear to be updated, but we wanted to find out the latest on school campus life and nothing had been added/adjusted for the majority of the information on the several schools I have compared thus far. Hoping 2026 edition will have updated information across every aspect since school life/vibes can change from year to year
Money well spent.
The 1-2 page "snapshot" format of this book is handy, and there's some useful anecdotal information for each school. However, it includes a somewhat limited selection of schools. It would also be easier to navigate if colleges were grouped by state.
This is not a comprehensive list of all colleges and universities. Specifically, it doesn’t include any of the Christian colleges we were considering- even though they are well known universities. We returned this.
This book is amazing! It gives you a 2-3 page overview of many colleges and the format makes it easy to compare schools. My daughter has found this to be the best resource for her college search so far!
This book rates the top value colleges and supplies a ton of information that you want to know but don’t no where to find out the information. It provides the value add and a summary of positives and any constructive feedback. My son took it on school body trips and wrote notes in the book- tabbing all his favorite schools.
