The author has a knack for explaining this relatively complicated subject. I feel like I finally understand superheat and subcool and why they are important to the refrigerant charge. The book is expensive but it's cheaper than taking a course at the local college to learn the right way to service refrigeration equipment.
This book is well written its very detailed and informative. If you're looking to get in the field of HVAC or need some reference information I would recommend this book.
lots of good info in this book helped out alot
I stalked this book for quite sometime before purchasing it, do to being disappointed from other previous book purchased. I must admit this book by far it the BEST!!! Craig goes into extreme detail, yet easy enough for a novice in the trade to understand and grasp the concept(s). I highly recommend anyone from a novice to an expert to purchase.
A wealth of information reinforced in many parts of the book! The information is written in an easy to understand format with many tables and figures.
This is a great place to start with hvac. I’m almost finished with the book and can’t wait for a refresher when it’s time for the workbook. You learn all the basics of hvac and he even has videos that go along with each chapter on his website. All in all, worth the price!
Well written and packed with information. Great reference material.
The best explanation book I have ever seen. It's thorough, but clearly written with accompanying pictures. It has greatly improved my understanding of the principles of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. It also greatly improved my understanding of the "how tos"! - If you were to go through this book first, you would be a giant step ahead of others in HVAC classes/training. I highly recommend!! Joe
