I'm 4 chapters in and this book has major flaws. For example, "for a vary large number"( it should be very) and the math does not add up to this equation, and I passed my algebra class. 1.0 plus -9.8 does not equal 9.9, where did this 0.1 come from? It makes absolutely no sense. Please revise this books math and grammar. Other than that, it does give you a very good understanding of the topics it talks about.
Book was helpful
Good book to learn the bsics of the world around us!
The content is spot-on, and easy to understand for those of us who have been out of school for...awhile... The formulas and breakdown really helps bring things back into focus, and walks you through step-by-step to help refresh your skills. Very glad I purchased this book.
This book lines up perfectly with my Physics 1 with Calculus course and if I actually had time to read and understand what’s in here, I do believe I’d be acing that class. On the upside, it is surprisingly conversational and also easily digestible. It is not long winded, and if you can sit to read 50-100 pages of this per test before your lectures you will do amazing. The dummies books never cease to amaze me!
