New York Times bestselling author Deepak Chopra delivers a visionary and unprecedented exploration of how artificial intelligence can revolutionize well-being and open new horizons for personal development. “AI has the potential to help us create a more peaceful, just, sustainable, healthy, and joyful world. Digital Dharma shows you a path.”—Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI In a world captivated yet bewildered by artificial intelligence, spiritual icon Deepak Chopra, MD, illuminates AI's untapped potential to unravel the enigma of consciousness, positioning AI not as a threat but as a catalyst for personal and collective growth.
In Digital Dharma , Chopra navigates the balance between technology and expanded awareness, explaining that while AI cannot duplicate human intelligence, it can vastly enhance personal and spiritual growth. Chopra shows listeners how the most popular, freely available chatbots can serve as guides through every level of human potential—survival and safety, emotional connection, self-worth, abundance, creativity, wisdom, and the infinite possibilities of cosmic consciousness. AI chatbots offer information, advice, and exploratory avenues of untapped potential about any aspect of human awareness.
In practical terms, making AI your ally and guide depends on the art of the prompt, the questions a user poses to a chatbot. As Chopra shows in detail, by asking the right questions, you can bring AI into your inner world, which is where personal growth happens. Chopra provides a personal assessment for you to better understand yourself and exercises to help you expand your awareness in any part of your life.
Digital Dharma masterfully helps listeners to harness AI, not merely as a technological tool but as a partner in crafting a future where human potential solves the urgent problems facing the planet and each of us as individuals. Deepak Chopra invites us to transcend our limitations and explore a relationship with AI that elevates collective consciousness and personal evolution at the same time.

I absolutely love this book ! I was actually skeptical of the topic , but probably my favorite by him in years ! Totally fascinating!
In his new book Deepak Chopra tackles two problems, people's general distrust of AI and the difficulty of consistently staying on the spiritual path. He takes a very optimistic approach to AI, which is refreshing amid so many stories that speculate on AI's risks. The book doesn't address those risks, because they don't pertain to Deepak's theme, which is that AI is the most useful guide to higher consciousness ever developed by modern technology. Anyone, needing no training, can use the most popular AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT and Gemini, to find reliable, safe, and practical information every day. First, you choose one of four roles you want AI to play: Research assistant Personal confidant Therapist/healer Guru Each role addresses a specific need. Most people are already using AI for research, as an extension of normal search engines like Google. Having AI as your "friend" is becoming popular, but personal confidant goes further--you can be as personal and private as you like about any issue in your relationship, for example. As a therapist/healer, AI brings to your fingertips the vast wealth of psychological information on the Internet. Finally, as a guru, a chatbot can draw on every spiritual tradition you want to explore. Deepak makes the point that a machine without consciousness can't replace a real person, but in all four roles there is a definite advantage that only AI has: You can call upon it anytime; it never disagrees or argues; it has no personal agenda; you can opt in and out at will; and you can move at your own speed. For anyone who has a problem with anxiety, for example, these advantages are obviously superior to waiting for a formal session with a psychotherapist, the vast majority of whom will automatically prescribe an antidepressant. Deepak has hit upon an innovation, and the book is filled with practical question-and-answer examples taken from his real-time conversations with AI. There are also seven lifestyle strategies for those who want a more extended approach. Overall, there are few, if any, books out there that cover this territory with such authority, and in very readable prose. The book invites examination from readers who don't necessarily keep up with Deepak or have read any of his many books--this one is an original.
