The book was written in 1973 and revised in 2010 yet it still has 44 pages of trig tables. Seriously? Who uses trig tables in these days of pocket calculators and smart phones? Granted, some places don't let you have a phone in the construction area however pocket calculators are so ridiculously cheap and everyone allows that. You aren't doing these long calculations with the trig table values without a calculator anyway, are you? On the other hand, there are 15 blank pages for "notes." I used these to paste in some typed abbreviations and their meanings--something that I think the book should have had to begin with. The rolling offset examples are confusing. There is a much simpler way using simple trig, but then again I see most (all?) other reference books teaching it this way. No wonder so many people get confused.
