This is Kimberly Snyder’s most powerful book yet. Learning to tune into your heart while meditating is a game changer for me because it gets me out of my head and the effects last longer than traditional meditation. The book offers a heart coherence meditation along with many other meditations and tips on how you can tap into that place of heart brain connection. I also loved reading all the science backed data from the HeartMath Institute. If everyone could develop more heart coherence, the result would be kinder people who appreciate what matters most in this life. Highly recommend this book to anyone looking to bring more peace and joy into their lives.
Kimberly offers very easy & accessible short heart connecting meditations (especially for the novice!) that impact your daily outlook through the simple effect of feeling appreciation which in turn makes you feel emotionally light weight and lifted. The greatest epiphany for me thus far has been in realizing that my heart is my truest friend and best ally. When I shift my focus to my heart I find myself being led by a dear friend who is non-judgmental and tugging at my hand with playfulness, confidence and courage. The Hidden Power of the Five Hearts is full of practices, easy to follow science, and Kimberly’s own journey opening her heart. I am a participant of the 2023 HeartAligned Meditation study mentioned in the book, and had access to an advance copy of The Hidden Power of the Five Hearts book. I have been on a wellness journey for several years and have never fallen into practices as easy as I did with the HeartAligned Meditation. With other meditations, when I am asked to do breathing exercises and note my thoughts and emotions and just let them go, on heavy days I can still feel very overwhelmed and even panicked asked to breath a certain way or noticing how often I am noting such thoughts and emotions (there is a small amount of breath work in this meditation). Tapping into my heart intelligence was definitely a missing piece. When I practice heart based techniques and focus on appreciation, I feel a radical warmness and sense of peace even during challenging moments. The best I can describe it is feeling like a Care Bear with energy just radiating. Thank you Kimberly for putting this book into the world! I cannot wait to keep improving my heart coherence.
