Probably the most professional and informative book I've ever seen
The details, maps and timeline charts are so great!!! My older kids actually get excited about using this book for research projects on history and Geography.
I have wanted this book for our homeschool for a while and was excited to see it on sale for Amazon Days. Although I am not going through the hassle of returning for a replacement I am disappointed that it arrived rather damaged. At first I thought it was ripped on spine because it was not secured in a large box with other items, but there are dents and a stain on edge of pages too. I shall tape the spine and use it for years to come because this is a wonderful book to accompany history lessons.
There is still a role for books in our lives. This one is made with quality that world history deserves. The pages are thick and colorful. The binding will last many years. Every schoolroom and public library should have at least one copy. The maps and texts are focused and easy to understand for people who are searching understanding. There is an effort to include all parts of our planet, all major peoples and their religions in the content. Those doing indepth study will go farther than this book but beginning with a visual of when and where we want to focus is very helpful. The Smithsonian Institution is a dependable authority. I am informed by this history book in a tactile way that moves me emotionally.
Tons of great information!
This is filled with interesting information, however, it was purchased as a gift and was not what he wanted. Did not take stars away because it was nice quality and seemed very informative.
I am blown away by the quality of this gorgeous book. So much information and an incredible value. Bought it for myself but would buy again as a great gift!
Complete and thorough history with clearly labeled maps.
