This was a decent story if ridiculously far-fetched. Billionaire meets hotel maid by accident and instantly knows she’s the one. Way too many repetitive lines and phrases. Story dragged at times and the author just seemed to be filling space. Writing was simplistic and seems as if it was written by a beginning author. This story could have easily been 10 chapters less filler and been a more effective story. Sometimes less in more. I would have liked to see more interactions between the brothers and to not have Easton just seem to totally disregard Weston so often when he makes frequent comments that Weston has always had his back. It makes him seem very self-centered and ungrateful. Weston seems like the better brother.
Lexi and Easton have a great story with lots of fun adventures! This book is well written, without many grammatical errors and wonderful characters. I absolutely love that there is no breakup drama, just more adventures, and what a twist at the end! I can't wait to read the next one.
The moment these two met they had an instant connection. While circumstances initially got in their way fate had bigger plans. I loved reading about all of their adventures and how he slowly knocked down her sky high wall, he showed her how she deserves to be treated. This book was loaded with adventure and laughter and love what Easton and Lexi have is true love and we are living for the way he spoils her and how she stands but him and understands him in a way no one else does Easton is neurodivergent and social situations can be taxing in him but Lexi is right their to hold his hand and encourage him. They are made for each other This book was such a great read and I cannot wait for book 2! This is full of spice, fake dating/engagement, billionaire romance, invisible tether, he falls first and I definitely encourage you to add this to your TBR!
I'm not big on "unending love at first sight." Enjoyably, the author created a cast of fleshed out characters. I found the relationship between Easton and Weston just as entertaining as Lexi and Easton. Finally, we have billionaires that are written as people, not extreme tropes of type A alphaholes. The twins are depicted as the perfect balance of one another, only visual carbon copies of one another. There is no tedious repetition, telling us why they can't be together or telling emotions us emotions they are supposed to have. Each character has a definable voice and behavior pattern that the story flows quickly . There is spice without it being too soon or overdone, all cheating is prior to our MC arc, no abuse, and no narcissistic characters involved. Even sibling relationships are good. I read this in 1 shot and look forward to Weston's story.
The Wife Situation is the first book in Lyra Parish’s Billionaire Situation series. If you’re looking for a playful romance that holds a great love story within, Easton and Lexi’s story is definitely for you. I’m going to be 100% honest, I went into this novel with no expectations whatsoever. You see, I’m not a fan of billionaire romances, and I’m not a fan of the fake relationship trope. I think these two tropes tend to be overplayed and usually lack originality. However, I do have to say that Lyra Parish definitely worked her miracles on me. I found myself intrigued by both tropes within this storyline. Parish did, what I thought would be impossible and had me loving her spin on both tropes. I can’t wait to see what’s to come with this series!! So let’s start my review with the storyline. Lexi is a country girl now living her New York City dreams. She’s close to feeling her dreams come to life. That is, until billionaire Easton Calloway gets her fired. It’s really a misunderstanding, but all the same. Lexi is now living her New york City dreams… without an income. That is until Easton comes up with a solution, in order to become CEO of the Calloway empire, he needs to abide by his grandfather’s wishes and that comes in the form of marriage before his fourtieth birthday. What luck, he gets an actress fired from her hotel cleaning position, this could work in his favor. His negotiation, a year-long marriage. Her negotiation, a promise to not fall in love with the billionaire. Game on. But along the way, something happens that neither is able to predict. The so-called Anti-Love girl is about to fall head over heels for the billionaire. And the billionaire is going to do everything in his power to keep her. I have to say, I absolutely adored every line in this novel! I loved the sensitive and artistic vibes Easton brought to this novel. This man is an introvert with his heart on his sleeve. He wants marriage, but he made a vow to himself a long time ago that when he gets married it’ll be for the right reasons. He’ll marry for love and nothing less. I loved how important that fact was to him. Now let’s talk about Lexi. I loved how Lexi brought the energy and the unpredictability to this novel. This woman was dealt a bad hand with her first shot at love. Which leaves her guarded and insecure when it comes to relationships. I felt her fear, but the moment she let that fear go and stepped into love’s light had to be one of the best moments in this novel. That realization had tears flowing from my eyes. What can I say, I’m a hopeless romantic! Lexi is Easton’s wild card. Someone he never expected would walk into his life, but everything he wished for and much more. Let’s not forget about the smoldering. Set your kindle on fire, sexy time scenes. When I say the chemistry between these two is on point, I mean these two are an inferno! So that’s another factor for you to decide on. If you like fade to black romances without sexy time scenes, this may not be the book for you. But if you’re the type of reader that lives for the spice, this is most definitely the book you should be reading! Mr. Easton Calloway does not disappoint!! I did drop a ½ star rating on this review, and that was for the mere fact that the ending felt a little rushed. I wasn’t ready to see these two go! I wasn’t ready to close the book on their story. Overall, aside from that one minor moment, I loved The Wife Situation by Lyra Parish. I loved the playful banter and the friendship, and I loved watching two people fall in love so effortlessly. I can’t wait to read more in this series. I’m definitely looking forward to Easton’s twin brother, Weston’s story! I have a feeling he’s going to be a lot to handle!!!
This book could do no wrong in my eyes! The perfect guy meets the (not so) perfect girl for him! They fall in love quick and hard but not before putting together a scheme to get fake married to secure his position as CEO to his family’s company. Their love story was perfect and swoon-y and he clearly the perfect book bf and husband to Lexi. The book was set a perfect speed so it wasn’t too short or too long just a very easy read all the way through!
