Absolutely the best book I've read on this subject. I'm so glad her life turned positive it could of went the other way. True inspiration to herself and siblings. I'm glad she's in the world making a difference
This is an amazing, heart-wrenching tale of domestic violence, sexual incest, secret keeping, and protecting the abuser at all costs. The author does a tremendous job of telling her story of standing up and being frightened yet empowered for herself and other victims.
Thank you K.L. Randis! You are a special gift. You inspire me to push forward to help others of abuse during dark scary times.
Spilled Milk quickly captivates the reader not allowing us to put it down. In the edge of my seat waiting for what happens next. Encouraging to read how one person can help so many without asking for anything in return.
Excellent storytelling. Well written and detailed. Great to see how she rose above the abuse and went on to help others.
I read this book in one day - staying up late to finish it. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the timeline wasn’t clear at times. Fascinating story of a child growing up with two awful parents - each twisted in different ways. The analogy of the rain storm and the tornado was perfect. That will be my key take-away in understanding levels of trauma.
This girl's story is powerful. So much of it echoes my own story, but I never had that strength. I hope her life is everything she wants.
This book is riveting, heartbreaking, and triumphant all at once. It's very well written and sucks you in, even if you're crying on a plane while reading it you can't put it down - it's that good. All young women should read this.
