I’m looking forward to planning a fall adventure using this atlas. Much easier to use than Google maps with lots of details and info on places we may want to check out on our trip.
Very detailed maps. We've moved so far over to Google. But it's hard to plan a long trip if you want to use country roads, for example. And if the internet or GPS satellites fail, only those with an Atlas can go everywhere they need to go. And Nat Geo is the best when it comes to road maps, often deferred to rather than military maps or those provided by the diplomatic service. I almost ordered Rand McNally, which is excellent, when I remember hearing about Afghan, Iraqi, Bosnia, Vietnam, Korean, & WWII veterans all saying Nat Geo was preferred to official US maps. If it's good enough for US soldiers, how can I go wrong?
This map book exceeded my expectations. I like the spiral binding. The map itself is of a good quality. It offers great suggestions. This would do well with a great co-pilot and children to map out interesting travels ideas with you.
Just purchased this to aid in planning a 2 week road trip. The maps allowed us to work around Google Maps deficiencies and travel the scenic instead of quickest routes. The only real downside is that the divisions between pages and areas could be difficult to transition through.
Used for road trips. Nice detailed inserts for major metro areas. Cover sturdy and color is pretty vibrant. Quality of printing is good. Cover has held up well for amount of use. It is on the large side, - makes it easier to read but also a large footprint. Ok if you leave between seats but kinda large if you plan to carry it with you.
Gonna make my Bucket List a lot easier! Great map, easy to read, lots of info.
We’ve been traveling a lot, and I’m so glad I bought the atlas recently before our trip to Colorado where many times we did not have phone service to follow our GPS. It me peace of mind, knowing that we could still get there even without GPS’s. Also has lots of good information about National Parks. The spiral is a real plus too! Great Atlas!
Beware - it's a very large atlas that will not fit in the glove box. Fully up to date with large type and maps that are easy to follow. Has profiles of a bunch national parks. Also has large type of all the cities and towns. Well worth the money paid. Has Canada, USA and Mexico maps.
