This material (7th Ed) is (to me) for those who understand PMP and the 6th edition. If you are studying for your PMP exam please go with the 6th edition not the 7th.
This is an excellent resource for those who are studying for the CAPM and PMP exams. I recommend this guide to those who are serious about passing the CAPM or PMP exam.
This book provides a standard guide from the Project Management Institute for those who work on projects. Valuable information, great graphics and overall information. This includes everything about project design, planning, implementation, execution, and closing. The book arrived on time and in perfect condition. This is very different to the sixth edition, this is the most recently updated version.
The product arrived as expected in new condition. The only problem is I need to actually use the book but not everything can be as easy as adding to cart on Amazon.
The content is good, maybe some specific examples would help understand certain topics for people new to PM. I'm annoyed with the cover of the paperback as you can see the photo the book looks like it is old, but it is quite new and the decoloration has transferred to my laptop while in my backpack. It is particularly annoying because you pay a high price for a paperback (close to 100$) and this is what happens, I don't think that a better slightly better cover would have been such an issue. If they wanted, they could have instead made the inside images black and white and get a better cover to account for printing costs. Well, maybe a real lesson learned example in PM with the book... Overall, a complete book, but the cover of the paperback version has a very annoying issue and a book more specific to your area might be needed to complement your study.
If your into consulting, than this book is for you. I can’t put the book down as I find it so interesting. Filled with great information about a project manager’s job as well as all the resources and intellectual properties one needs to succeed in project management. I will read this book twice and always have on hand as a resource to look back upon. This is an educational book that has tons of information that will make you a great project manager and consultant. This is not the only book you need to study with though. I read the book and took some practice questions and got them all wrong. This will not prep you for the exam alone. Also, don’t waste your money on the 35 hour training with PMI. It’s not worth it!
Perfect for PMP studies.
