Just learning and this is a must have. Easy to understand and very helpful. I may not ready it daily but they are short enough to do so.
I came across the Bible Recap chronological plan on the Bible app. I like the chronological plans and this is my first year doing the TBR plan. Tara Leigh does a great job recapping the daily readings. There are some things I learned this year from her recap that I did not get from reading through it by myself. I like researching so I still research these new tidbits further along with other things I may have forgotten. The Bible is the Bible. We may not agree with everything it says but it is not for us to. God is sovereign. I am not. His reasons are His and the center of Christian life is not trying to approve or disapprove of what happens but to look for Him and for what He wants us to learn and apply to our lives to build character. I truly appreciate these recaps especially on the days when the people in the Bible are doing awful things and it is hard to see the joy. She never fails to help us see He is always where the joy is even on those days. I plan to do the plan again next year and purchased a physical copy of the book to support the ministry.
I am so glad I bought this book, along with three copies for gifts. The author is definitely anointed by The Lord to teach His word. She explains the chapters in a concise manner that are easy to understand. She points out things that most people probably miss. I have learned through the Old Testament just how loving and faithful Yahweh really is to those who believe. This is the BEST book on THE BOOK, the Bible. I highly recommend.
I figured I should do a review based on other reviews of it. The first thing I did when I received the book yesterday was to count the pages since some of you reported missing pages. Mine was fine. To those that found out late, you can STILL request a new copy. It wasn't your fault the pages were missing and Amazon always help the customers. I can assure you, you will receive a new book. Second- someone bashed the book over a misunderstanding, in reference to Sarah- Abraham's wife and JLo. Tara-Leigh was sort of joking referring to the good genes of looking young regardless of age. Tara-Leigh NEVER said they were "related" (family or something). What Tara did do, was to offer a guide like, that takes years and obviously a lot of love for the body of Christ. We may not agree with some explanations but everything is subject to interpretation. Move on. That's why I always buy study bibles from different publishers to get as many explanations as possible and compare. I bought this book because I do the plan online but was taking notes on everything before I realized that all the notes taken were actually in the written book. Was a big relief since a 10min. recording was taking me 30min. In the picture you will see that I bought a book stand for the sake of my neck. Lol One more thing, The pages are good to me, not too thin. If you highlight, you need to use "GEL HIGHLIGHTERS". They NEVER cross over to the other page. I use Mr. Pen Gel Highlighters from Amazon or the Bible Gel Highlighters from Shuttle Art from Amazon too. Hope this review helps.
I started doing the Bible reading plan and listening to the recap episodes on the app, but found it very helpful to have the written version. Sometimes having my phone out proves to be too much of distraction, which makes this book perfect. Her insights and comments are extremely helpful- I would recommend this to anyone wishing to grow in their faith.
A wonderful companion to reading and understanding the Word of God. It does a great job of explaining each chapter(s) you have to read and leaves you in awe of God's greatness.
This study book has made it more enjoyable to get my daily devotions in. It simplifies the story line and gives you a take away for each scripture. So glad I purchased this book!
This chronological guide through the Bible enhances and explains so much as you read. The fact that it is in chronological order makes so much sense. Tara Leigh's commentary is easy to follow.
