About This Book

A rugged mountain town seemed like the perfect escape from a life in shambles. But on day one I ran full tilt into the world’s hottest single dad and now all my plans are ruined. As a chart-topping country singer with a recent streak of bad press it’s hard to find any peace.

But I find it in Rose Hill. With a little boy and a little girl who steal my heart just as thoroughly as their dad. Weston Belmont.

The man is a shameless flirt. He oozes confidence and masculinity in a way that’s downright distracting. And in bed?

He’s addictive. Everything with him is wild and impulsive and I’m desperate to regain some control. But no one has supported me like West does.

And no one has ever made me feel as loved as he does either. So, while my brain says settling down with a small-town horse trainer is impossible… my heart says I’m right where I belong. Still, my life as a celebrity haunts me.

It has the power to pull us apart. I can see in his eyes that wants me to stay. And I want that too.

But I know better than anyone that we don’t always get what we want.

4.3/5⭐️ Wild Eyes was great from the very beginning! Skylar was a very relatable character with anxiety, trauma, etc. I wish it would’ve been flushed out a bit more as we saw glimpses, but I found myself wanting to know more to understand her extreme negative self-talk. Also, I’m not really big on main characters being celebrities as it never seems truly believable, but this book was so good I didn’t really care. West is amazing. Ollie represents so many children with shyness & his hesitant communication. As usual, loved it. I’m so ready for Tabitha and Rhys. They are an enigma for sure.

Absolutely in love!

Elsie Silver, you absolute queen! How do you do every single time?! I ADORED THIS FROM START TO FINISH!! SO IN LOVE. I am seriously debating giving myself retrograde amnesia so I can read this again for the first time. How do I even begin to explain how deep this story buried itself into my soul? Elsie Silver is truly in a league of her own What Elsie Silver does over 400 pages is nothing less than giggly, romantic, sweet, page-turning perfection. This book is truly a masterpiece, and so well-executed. The romance between West and Skylar developed slowly but surely, and beautifully. It was pretty much perfect for me. The gasp worthy quotes, the one-liners, the subtle but undeniable affection and familiarity between the characters, and the satisfying and beautiful crossing of the friendship line. It’s scary how perfect this book was for me. I truly feel like Elsie stole my dreams of the perfect romance book and picked every single trope that I loved and mashed it into one book. Elsie Silver’s writing is so full of emotions, I inhaled this book which doesn't happen very often these days. This book made me SO happy, there were definitely a lot of teary eyes, but boy did I laugh. I don't think I can do this book justice with my review but I hope I can convey how much it meant to me. This was perfect and I wish I could live in it forever. I don't know if I'll ever be over this book and I definitely might reread it immediately. Elsie Silver has possibly ruined me in the best way possible.

This was an incredible audiobook, the voice acting was on point (Teddy Hamilton & Savannah Peachwood at their finest 🔥), and the story so engaging. Took me about 9 hours to listen, 10 on regular speed. All the stars. This is Weston and Skylar's story, and it can standalone with a HEA for the couple, but you'll understand the side cast better if you've read the first book. The spice is intertwined with the story, angsty but eventually hits real good (growly angry voice of mmc helps it along lol). If you read the first book in the series, you'll remember Ford Grant- the man who built a recording studio in Rose Hill and fell in love with his best friend's (Weston's) sister Rosie. West is a confident single dad of two, a thick-thighed horse trainer, and a mischievous jokester- with a filthy mouth. But he doesn't date or bring women around his children unless they're family. Until a famous singer moves into his bunkhouse. The single dad and his two children are drawn to her, over and over. But Skylar came to Rose Hill temporarily. Finding out her life in the city was a lie, she came to work with Ford Grant on an album and to get away from it all. What happens when she has to go back? Now that she knows what it's like to be seen as real person, how does she put her walls back up? This book was hilarious and heartfelt. I loved the two children, so adorable. It lived up to the first book, and reminds me of an Elle Kennedy book. Can't wait for the next book in the series- we got a sneak peek of it and I'm hooked already.

Skylar is a pop star without much say in her life until she runs away to a small town in Canada to make an album on her own terms. On the she meets Weston, and a bear, and the story continues from there. Wild Eyes is about doing things your own way, even when you are really sure what way that is. The story was sweet, and at times sad. The characters were engaging and entertaining. The bird was silly and rather heartwarming in its own way. Even the children, who are sometimes written really unbelievably or annoying, were funny and endearing. Overall, this was a cute story from Elsie Silver and I look forward to seeing how she wraps up this series.

This book was everything I expected and more. There was romance, cute kids, emotion, and wonderful character arcs. I loved the setting and the plot. I loved every character. It was a great mix of everything I love in a book. I loved Skylar’s growth over the course of this book. She really came into her own and although it was rough for a few chapters, I loved the way she took back her life. West, Ollie and Emmy taught Skylar what a family should look like. They all had an instant connection I loved immediately. Emmy was so funny and full of life, Ollie was so shy and timid but felt a kinship with Skylar, and West was just the perfect mix of protective and supportive. Skylar and West’s relationship was so refreshing. Their meet cute was hilarious, and the push and pull between them brought some intensity to the relationship. I loved that West wanted to develop a friendship and make sure Skylar was in the right frame of mind before entering into a romantic relationship. They had great banter and their nicknames for each other were so fun. I absolutely loved this book. It grabbed me from the very beginning. I really liked the mix of emotions and humor. I felt connected to both characters, they felt like real people. I absolutely loved the ending and cannot wait for the next book in this series.
