5/5 The last book of the Windsor series is by far the cutest shit I’ve ever read. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me put my book down to emotionally prepare for what I knew was coming next. I adored this book and couldn’t have asked for much more than what we were blessed with. I never thought I would love a man other than a Windsor but Xavier Kingston is top tier tortured book boyfriend material. He may not be good with words but his actions speak louder than and clear. I also loved all the cameos and new characters in this book. Not to mention the preview for the future. I have been so emotionally invested in this series since I found it over a year ago, and I cannot wait for what is to come!
Since book one, I have been anticipating Sierra's book and secretly hoped it Xavier was the man she was going to be marry. As usual, Cat did not let me down; these two were truly priceless. Everything about this book was amazing. We knew these two were enemies and rivals for their business. But little did we know that Xavier has been in love with Sierra since he first saw her after college. Xavier Kingston! The way he's always looked out for Sierra. His jealous streak #swoon He was POSSESSIVE which was *chef kiss* the way he just knew Sierra had to be his. The dude was definitely whipped from the start. Sierra, I love her character so much. She has always been Xavier's equal and has never gave up on him after marrying him, she finally had the family she had always desired. To be honest, I had no idea Xavier would become that addicted! I was thrilled to learn that he had been lusting for Sierra for years, and that he was working with the Windsor brothers to indulge his passion with her. Their competition and backstabbing soon gave way to a wild chemistry; Xavier knew he wanted Sierra from the start, and there was much more to their interactions than what originally met the eye. He had been plotting to marry her from the beginning, from annotating her favorite book—which he had also read—to putting up special security measures for her under the name "Mrs. Kingston." Perfect Ending to the Windsors. But I do hope we get to see them again in the near future. I’m so sad to goodbye to this series and its characters, but I can’t wait for what Catharina has lined up next. Highly recommended adding to your TBR. The Windsors are a must to read and you will not be disappointed at all. * Dual POVs * Enemies to Lovers * Arranged marriage * Guy falls first * Billionaire Romance * Rivals
I have been waiting for this book for so long, and now that’s it’s finally here, I’m so sad, because it’s the end of an era. I’m so sad to see the beloved Windsor series come to an end, but omg I loved Sierra and Xavier’s story!! This was literally the perfect story for Sierra and Xavier, it’s exactly what I would’ve imagined their story to be (ok well there were so many things I did not see coming, like how cool Xavier really was, but I digress). When grandma Anne announces to Sierra that her betrothal is set and it’s to Xavier Kingston, I swooned, but when I read how the marriage “proposal” came about, I was both laughing and crying. Everyone but Sierra and Xavier knew how they felt about each other. Even her brothers! The banter was absolutely hilarious, between Sierra and Xavier, Xavier and the Windsor brothers, Xavier and his brothers, I was laughing with them. And the fact that there was a “protocol” for Sierra allowing her to break into Xavier’s house had me rolling on the floor with laughter at their antics. Sierra is a true romantic at heart, surrounded by soulmates and desperate for her own happily ever after. Both of her grandma’s announcements knock the wind out of her sails and she is kind of thrown off balance. At first, it was Sierra being the stubborn one, and Xavier was trying his hardest to make Sierra see they could make their marriage work. But when something goes terribly wrong, Xavier does a 180’ and Sierra is the one trying to show Xavier she loves him and he’s doing all he can to push her away. That’s when I wanted to punch his pretty face. I love how his family rallied around Sierra and truly embraced her as one of their own. Grandma Anne will always be the GOAT to me, because she always knew, for every couple, what was right in front of their faces. I’m so sad to see the Windsor’s go, but I really hope we see them in the future Kingston family series books!! I CANNOT WAIT! Cat sprinkled hints about the family here and there and definitely left me wanting more!
This is the last of the Windsors series and it was beautiful. I loved it. Just when you think you love the first Windsor, the next one comes and takes their spot. But no one is like Xavier. He beats them all. Sierra too! She was phenomenal. Her attitude and such wasn't bratty or annoying. She was perfect for them. This was the perfect ending to the series.
I loved everything! The development of the story and characters was amazing, as usual in Catharina’s books, but this one in particular could use a little editing for some words were misplaced, written twice, or changed (“he” where should be “the”, for example) and as an English learner, it did make me a bit confused a couple of times, but the story per se was amazing!
This book was an emotional and heartwarming journey. The love between Sierra and Xavier felt so genuine, and the way family ties were woven into the story added such depth. The scenes with Sierra’s grandmother were especially touching and brought me to tears, as they mirrored my own experiences. It was beautifully written, with just the right balance of love, humor, and healing. It was a wonderful read that I highly recommend!
