I crashed a wedding. Got caught by the best man. Now, I’m pregnant with his baby… It's Katya's fault.
(As per usual.) My BFF despises her ex and wants to hate-watch him marry the woman he left her for. Problem is, she didn't fill me in on that plan... Until we arrive at the ceremony.
As soon as I find out, I run. Hop on the elevator and smash the Doors Close button like the Energizer Bunny on a sugar rush. But right before they shut...
A hand comes shooting through. And attached to that hand, unfortunately for me, is the most stunning human specimen I've ever seen. Tall.
Dark. Handsome. Dangerous.
Also... the best man. He takes one look at me and knows I don't belong.
"Who let you in here, little bird?" he growls. I gulp. Tremble.
Open my mouth to lie... And then the elevator stops. EMERALD MALICE is Book 1 of the Kuznetsov Bratva duet.

Nicole Fox has written well over 300 tales. Whether they are all mafia based, I couldn't say. If any of them are like this? I wonder why I haven't picked up her collection sooner. This was my first book by her, part of a duet that I am looking forward to finishing. The attraction is almost instant between Nat and Drey, but they couldn't be any more opposite. She quiet and kind, walking on the safe side of life after losing her parents at a young age. Drey is all sharp edges and harsh truths, a result of living under his Bratva father's cruel guidance. I appreciated that though they had strong chemistry 🥵 they were at a stand off when it came to understanding one another. The way they built that connection over time, how they are still working towards love, but putting it on the back burner with all the chaos going on, it is a breath of fresh air for me. They butt heads constantly, but we get to see them grow, build that love and trust as time goes on. Natalia becomes more outspoken, while Andrey starts to adjust to her needs and learns to be open minded to change. They have a long way to go, but I can't wait to see it. On another note, Misha, my boy! I absolutely loved him as one of the connections to tie these two together. He is still a child, I believe 14 years old when he is captured as a spy, but is more or less a pawn expected to be discarded. He becomes more of a center piece, a son of sorts for the two and I loved it. I look forward to seeing how he grows into his role. Now I need to head off to the next book.
This spellbinding story delivers an irresistible mix of humor, tension, and undeniable chemistry that keeps readers hooked from start to finish. Her reaction to the best man’s presence—part fear, part undeniable attraction—sets the stage for a charged interaction filled with witty banter and palpable tension. What makes this book stand out is how well it balances humor with genuine romantic tension. The dialogue between the two characters is electric, filled with both snappy comebacks and moments of vulnerability. As they navigate their predicament, the story explores themes of fate, attraction, and the idea that sometimes, the best things in life come from the most unexpected circumstances. Overall Nicole Fox once again has delivered a is a delightful, fast-paced romantic story that’s as much about seizing the moment as it is about the sparks that fly when two people are thrown together in a highly unusual situation. It’s a must-read for anyone who loves a romance with a healthy dose of humor and a dash of unpredictability. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It’s been some time since I found a book I couldn’t put down. Characters are wonderful, storyline is addictive and the cliffhanger at the end….has me on the edge of my seat. Definitely worth the read.
This is a really good story with lots of action. I love that the MFC has such sassy to stand up to the MMC. I love that she stood up to her friend for treating her so badly and then forgave her once said friend realized what she had done. I love she took in the orphan and most importantly I love that the dog did not die!
I couldn't put it down. This books everything you could ask for romance, suspense, drama. Just a really great book. Spoiler,,,,, it ends in a cliffhanger.
such a great story line....cant wait to read the rest. The characters are so amazing, the love, hate, and are so funny
Overall a great book. Caught my attention from the beginning and kept me reading. Compelling characters, interesting storyline, good writing…only near the end did I start struggling with it. Like the author started going a little too daytime soap dramatic. The actions and behavior of some of the characters were getting frustrating and hard to believe. I mean, who in their right mind thinks they are just going to sneak out and somehow no one, including numerous enemies, wouldn’t be able to find them? And does she really think her leaving is going to help anything? Makes no sense.
Wow! Just wow! This book was great from start to finish. So many of these mafia stories are the same, but this one was funny and intriguing. Lots of twists and turns. Could have used a little more heat, but definitely a good read! The characters were well developed and added a great flow to the plot.
