This is my first dive into Brittanee Nicole’s world, and let me tell you, it’s bumped her other books right to the top of my TBR. You need to read this book if you’re into second-chance romances (like me), hockey players, and fake relationships. I thought I knew what I was getting into, but I was absolutely not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that ensued. Aiden and Lennox’s story is the perfect blend of steam and heart. His mental health journey is handled with so much care, shining a spotlight on the need for support—especially in the high-pressure world of sports. Her path to self-discovery is just as gripping as their love story, and I was hooked on their reunion from page one. Brittanee does eventually explain/tell us but only in her special way where you’re absolutely DYING to find out the entire time. When Aiden & his fiancee show up to meet their wedding planner only to discover it’s Lennox, he does exactly what any man still obsessed with his ex would do. He calls off the wedding immediately. He just decides not to tell Lennox right away so that he can spend some time with her so he can start winning her back because she’s always been IT for him. My girl Lennox is a gem y’all she’s so spunky, funny & amazing I can totally see why Aiden is so obsessed with her. I was truly scratching my head the entire time trying to figure out what went wrong with the 2 of them because they’re absolutely perfect together. Aiden has always been the “life of the party” meant to entertain & keep everyone’s spirits up. Seeming like the happiest, most carefree guy in the world….but beneath the surface there’s a darkness. One that he’s been fighting alone for a long time & the thought of Lennox finding out terrifies him but my girl shows him exactly why he doesn’t need to be afraid & most of all that he’s not alone. This story hit on so many levels for me. Depression is hard & when you live with it your entire life masking becomes like second nature to the point that very few people know how the happy&funny person they see everyday is fighting a battle they know nothing about. But having the support of others & knowing that you’re not alone is one of the biggest, most important steps to learning how to manage it & truly live a happy life. Brittanee, Thank you for writing this story. It means more to people like me than you’ll ever know.

First, the mental health rep in this was so good. Aiden and his journey with his depression was so real. I felt for him. When he sat with Winnie(his 11 yr old niece), I cried because it was so sweet. He knew exactly what she needed. Second, ALL the characters in this are the best. I loved how we get to see someone characters from other previous books. 🥹 I love them so much. I’m so happy we will still get to stay in this world a little longer. I can’t wait for the next book. This is one of those books that has 🔥spice, it has hilarious moments, and so many heartbreaking but also heartwarming moments. Highly recommend for any sports romance fans. 🫶🏻 I think this solidified for me the fact that Brittanee Nicole is one of my fav romance authors. She always knocks it out the park. ✨Also, side note… in this book there’s a dog named Goose and when I was a kid my grandma had a goose named Dog. 😂 that’s a 100% true story. Weird. 😂✨

This book was great I love a good second chance romance without a 3rd act breakup ( nothing wrong with those either lol), Aiden and Lennox are a match made in heaven and the chemistry is off the roof! I loved Aiden’s golden retriever vibes with added touch of obsessive and possessive boyfriend qualities. Another great read and addition to the world of the langfield brothers!

Brittanee Nicole is a new to me author and I will be reading all of her books from now on! I enjoyed everything about this book especially that neither of the characters played any games, and there were no major breakups during their second chance. Lennox and Aiden had a chemistry that was undeniable. After all their time apart, they took the time to get to know each other again, which was sweet how much they remembered about each other. The group of friends and Aiden’s brothers was also great and supportive. This was a feel-good story, with some family drama regarding expectations and appearances. This is also a book about mental health, and even though you think you have everything you want and have loved ones to support you, it may not be enough. You may need a therapist or medication and it’s nothing to be ashamed about. Such a great message layered into a fun book with tons of banter and a nice splash of spice.
