🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶🌶🌶🌶 Tropes 🚩 Dark Romance 🚩 Enemies to Lovers 🚩 Rival Colleges 🚩 Masks 🚩 Hates Everyone But Her 🚩 Psychopath x Good Girl 🚩 Touch Her and 💀💀 🚩 Who Did This To You? 🚩psychopath x good girl 🚩Kinks ⚠️Read TW⚠️ What is it about possessive psychopaths having only feelings for 1 girl so appealing? It's everything! The dark chemistry between them, the tension, the remorseless love, the obsession, the passion, the morally grey aspect.. Killian and Glyndon were perfection 👌🏻 Killian ❤️ is truly insane. He’s cold, possessive, unhinged, and obsessive with a heart for nothing and no one other than Glyn. Glyn 🎨 is so pure and full of compassion and, at times, disconnected. These two were toxic, and all the good ways 😅 I enjoyed all the side characters, the drama, and the character development. I can't want to read more about the Heathens and the Elites. Ps: The spice was extra spicy and extra kinky 🥵
This was incredible! I love going into books without knowing what to expect. Some of the subject matter may not be for everyone but I honestly loved this so much. I loved the way Killian brought Glyndon’s character out of her shell and how fiercely protective he is of her. The twist near the end had me shook and the retribution for it was so satisfying. Also loved the way Glyndon helped heal the cracks between Killian and his family. This was great and I’m excited for the next one!
Great book by a new to me author that I definitely recommend. This book is well written and keeps you reading and wanting more
I am having such a hard time rating this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 (3.5) 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 (3.5) Honestly I give the concept and actual story a 4.0 if not a bit higher. I think it’s really interesting to see such mentally diverse characters. My issue with the book was actually the authors writing, but again I’m so torn because I actually really liked the story. To anyone contemplating reading it, do it, BUT.. the trigger warnings are very accurate. As an example, if you read Haunting Adeline and didn’t like it.. I can almost guarantee this book isn’t for you. I’m like 80% sure. Likes: Again, liked the story a lot. Very different from anything I have ever read. Loved the side characters focus and the early build into relationships that will obviously turn into their own books. I imagine I will continue to enjoy this series as I get to know the characters more and more before I read their actual books. I also liked bringing the parents POV into the mix, although I didn’t realize until a quarter of the way through this series is about the children of characters in a previous series. I may backtrack and read those first as this book contains small spoilers of those. Also actually liked the way the author seemed to stay true to who Killian was and how he works. We didn’t get some huge romanticized version of him and I’m happy about that as it would have felt fake otherwise. Spice was actually pretty good but I only gave it a 3.5 due to it being open door and mostly just rough. It wasn’t the most descriptive which is what I personally prefer, so I gotta save my 4.0-5.0’s. No issues with this spice though. I felt it was pretty fitting for the characters. Dislikes: Okay. The writing in general seemed clunky to me. The author seemed to want to use classic “teen” language, using words like “totally” and “like”, to the point I felt like I was reading a 16 year olds diary, and some British phrases and cursing seemed forced like she went back and added them because she thought that’s what a British person or 19 year old would say. There were also quite a few typos, like you’re instead of your or the blatant misspelling of the word ill-fated. To be even more picky, she used the phrase “in retrospect” 5 times in the book and I’m pretty sure about half those times didn’t actually use the phrase correctly. Character wise I think she was almost could have gone deeper with Glyndons character. I feel like I never really was invested in her as a person the way I was with Killian or even Cecily or Anni. I will continue this series and may backtrack to the parents series. This book does say stand-alone but I think a little heads up that I should have really started with the 7?? Book prequel would have been nice like she does for the other books in the Gods series.
I absolutely loved this book. I plan on reading the whole series. It had suspense, sex, passion, great character development, and an amazing storyline. It's everything you'd want in a romance novel. There are some TW stuff, but the author warns that in the beginning. Read at your own discretion. You won't regret it though.
I don’t usually write reviews but this was fantastic. Perfect amount of spice, and detailed just right. Definitely a must read! Killian is a violent crazy dude but turned out to be one of my favorite book boyfriends. LOVE LOVE LOVE
I liked that the character backstories weren't the typical awful. Sure, there was a little trauma, but it wasn't the full crazy stereotype. I also loved the characters and their development arcs. I felt like they were well developed and interacted well. I also felt like the story and plot were good. However, I do feel like the end plot kind of fizzled out a bit with the rivals. It could have wrapped nicer
This book was so good! I was in awe of the characters they had me from the beginning! The storyline never let up. I’m not one for giving spoilers but the characters in this book will have you drooling.. I’m onto the next book in this series.. justt to so you know you MUST READ THIS BOOK, filled with SPICE, DARK ROMANCE,TRIGGERS, ALL KINDS OF BINGE WORTHY DELICIOUS STUFF… pick it up and read you will not regret it.. Rina Kent I love your style of writing and everything about the storyline and characters, I’m excited for more!!!
