So I finished this in… a day..? And MAN when I thought I would get SOME answers, the books ends. I’m ITCHING to know the sisters Orders 😭 I felt like this book was more of an emotional building book, helping the suspense build up for the next. Hopefully lol. I like how stretched out this series is so far. With other series you have a few books and then it’s over. The fact that this is actually giving characters time and detail really gets you hooked because the way the book is written, it keeps you on the edge of hope the ENTIRE time 😂 I also loved the addition POV of other characters! 4/5 overall 4/5 spice 🥵
I want to love these books. They’re funny. I like the plot so far. The editing is so bad it takes me out of it. Everything is “which was” instead of “that was”. There’s a lack of continuity in some areas (no spoilers but the Omega thing was just dropped in like a big deal but had never been referenced previously). “One of hands reached” was the actual start to one of the sentences and made me put the book down and walk away for a while. If the authors got some new editors (or maybe an editor?) this series would go from a 3 to a 5 instantly. It’s making me dread reading any more of it.
Book one was slow to start and I feared this would be the same. However, it picked up and pushed me quickly into the complex world of Solaria. The twins are coming into their own as they find out they are and the Heirs continue to traumatize them. The last quarter of the book had me speed reading because I just had to know what happens. Also, enemies to lovers? Say less.
I have definite pros and cons. Pros: I love the storyline and the characters. I love that there are several layers to the story and that I feel like if I just close my eyes, I could see it all. I'm looking forward to experiencing more of Solaria and Zodiac Academy. Cons: The twins are supposed to be from Boston, but since the authors are clearly not American, it seems like they could have picked a different origin. Americans don't use the metric system. We don't say 'kit' we say gym clothes & I've never heard many of the terms they use. It makes it difficult to stay in the story when I'm not sure what they're saying. Also, and this is just a little thing that kept bugging me, the plural for Converse is Converse, not Converses. That's like saying shoeses instead of shoes. Ok, I guess above all, I'm eager to read the next 10 books 📚 Here we go!!!!
Zodiac academy is one of the best series I have read next to the fourth wing empyrean series, once started I cannot see, to stop! Read the first two in less than a week. Such phenomenal writing and story lines it’s an addictive series!!!
I loved this book even more than the first. And so glad we got an insight into pitball. I just can’t put this series down, it is amazing. World building, magic system, zodiac, tarot card, the characters and characters development, the story, and the amazing humor. I was more than once both snort laughing and laughing out loud. Especially, look forward to the blow up Pegasus sex doll, for an amazing laugh
Funny. Exciting. Heartfelt. Such a great read love the twins. Sometimes the torture is a lil much but it definitely gives a great character development
I honestly have no idea how anyone DNF this series. Book one was a little juvenile, but book 2 was incredible and kept my attention the entire time. I think maybe the heavy fantasy might be a lot for people? But this book has literally everything you could want. Friendship, forbidden love, bully trope, magic, it’s so good. I’m obsessed.
