Kept my attention from the first page to the last. Not a single bit drawn out more than necessary. Simple. Straight to the point. A heartwarming story of 2 sisters, grief, love, and their journey to remembering.
Loved it, poignant, right on, grief is deep and reactive or...... got smiles from me, contemplation and forgiveness and it only took 36 pages
Very interesting short novella about two sisters who are estranged. When Isabel gets a letter from her sister asking for help, she drops everything and leaves NY to come back home to Maine. But it was her 11 year old niece who wrote the letter, hoping that her Aunt would come.
Very rarely do I not want a book to end. Hoffman’s words are simple, but enthralling. She draws you into the lives of her characters and makes you wish for more!
Such a sweet short Book. The only complaint I have was how the ending seemed very rushed. I would have loved to see the sisters relationship heal and grow in the weeks they spent together. Overall I enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next book!
I loved this book! It is such a great story about life and love! A quick read and worth every minute!
This was cute. I'm not much of a short story fan, but this fits the moment. I needed something to read after the last book left me an hour from sleep time. It is fun to finish a book in an hour or so. I had this one tucked away in my Audible library. Jennifer Jill Araya, the narrator, was able to keep the characters fresh and sincere. There are a couple more novellas following this one. I plan to get them and finish the story.
A feel good story, quick plot, family issues and resolutions with a slice of baking, romance, nostalgia and book store,
