This book was super helpful in brining back some wonderful memories as I endeavored to recall days of old in an effort to bring my adult children up to snuff. I enjoyed filling out the one that my daughter bought for m so much, that I decided to buy more to give to my other family and friends
This Book Is Legacy in Physical Form
With our first baby 4 short weeks away, I wanted to capture pieces of my mom to ensure our baby boy would always have a piece of his grandma with him. The book came quick, exactly as described, and has some very thoughtful and feeling provoking prompts throughout. This is something we’ll pass down as a “piece” of our family tree.
Great gift for mom.
Telling my story for my children and grand children is what I needed. Now they will know a lot more about me and my past.
Great Idea!
We recently lost a family member and we discussed how there was so much we didn’t ask her before she passed. So we decided to order this small book and begin asking questions of other family. It has turned out better than I expected. My mom is telling me stories I have never heard before. Seriously! I’m guessing I haven’t asked the right questions before because she has surprised me multiple times now with new stories. We also have had many wonderful conversations that I have to give credit to this book for. I encourage everyone to ask questions of your loved ones while you have them. Whether you get a book or not. Ask questions. This book does a great job of helping people to open up and share their stories. It’s a great gift!
Great Question Prompts!
This book is great! It has great question prompts and is fun to fill out. Great for expecting mothers, which was why I bought it. I was having trouble fitting in all that I wanted to write. I did find one typo which was when it asked for the price of a movie ticket twice (I crossed out the extra one and put the average cost of a wedding) Not a big deal for me. It was a fun trip to the past with the memories it created as well as the conversations it started with me asking my parents what I was like as a baby. The hardcover feels really nice! It has a smooth/soft feel to it. Overall, I would recommend this book! 9/10 because of the typo and wishing there was a little extra space. (Write small, folks!)
Good Gift for Capturing Family Stories and Memories
I recently gave my mom this journal, and it has turned out to be a fantastic gift choice. Every once in a while, she would share the most random but fascinating anecdotes or stories about her life, and I often found myself unsure of how to ask her to share more. This journal has become a wonderful way for her to document those memories. Not only is she enjoying writing down her stories, but it also means that we can keep a treasured collection of her memories at our family house. It's heartwarming to know that future generations will be able to read about her life and experiences. This journal has brought us closer and preserved our family history in a beautiful way. Highly recommend! Additionally, my mom loves to read so awesome to see her write her own story for others to read!
The Best Gift on Amazon
I can’t speak highly enough about this journal. The sad reality is that our parents won’t be here with us forever… but what better way to preserve their memory than to help them share their stories? While these prompts are intriguing and thought-provoking, they’re also straightforward and concise. I just gifted this to my Mom a few weeks ago and had to order the Dad version for Father’s Day because my family has enjoyed my Mom’s so much. It’s been a wonderful bonding tool and provided a new lens for me to experience life through my Mom’s eyes—childhood, likes/dislikes, passions, regrets, aspirations, life lessons, and growth. I can confidently say that is timeless, priceless gift is easily one of my best Amazon purchases. Couldn’t recommend more.
A wonderful Gift for both the giver and receiver
Our son gave me this book as a gift. No occassion. He just wanted to know more about me. The questions are thought provoking and encourage insightful answers. Mom will get to know herself better as she answers and her family will find our many things they didn’t know. It can’t help but being everyone closer.
