Rules were meant to be broken. Hockey is my life. How could it not be when I’m the youngest daughter of Ace Moreau, hockey legend turned coach?
It only makes sense since I live and breathe the game that I would want a player of my own. Given my access to the team, you’d think it would be easy to choose from the catalog of athletic hunks carving up the ice, right? Wrong.
Daddy dearest has made it clear that under no circumstances are any of his players allowed to touch his daughters. But I won’t be deterred. I only need one to break the rules with me.
Cal Berg, the Comets’ star defenseman, is bossy, arrogant, and thinks I’m just riding my dad’s coattails. Verbally sparring with him, provoking a reaction, is what I live for. We HATE each other.
Or so I thought . . .
One drunken slip has me rethinking everything. Suddenly, my objective has changed. I don’t want just any player; I’m fully focused on bagging the blueliner.

Im at a loss for words... came for the smut and left with a whole new book boyfriend to enjoy.
I read this book solely for all the recommendations on the smut pages. The dirty talk was great, but the actual smut was just eh. Story was good. Ending was great, although I was hoping for more. I loved them together and the banter was fun.
The harder they fall. I've been chomping at the bit for Cal and Hannah's story since that first meeting cuz I accidentally started this one first before going back and reading the royals series first. The anticipation almost ended me lol. I love an enemies to lovers with secret pining.
Some spoilers ahead! Beware! Ok booktok has officially pushed me into the hockey romance fandom. And this one was a hoot and a half! I loved the banter and cattiness between Cal and Hannah. Their angry rumpy pumpy was so hot! Also. New k**k unlocked, so thanks for that. Won’t spoil it but it involves something shiny. My main beef is that there was a lot of exposition at the beginning about Hannah’s friends who have their own books. I feel like some of this information could have been trickled in as necessary. But in all honesty, a minor inconvenience. I loved that the FMC is childfree! It’s so wonderful to have some CF representation out there. Note this book isn’t entirely childfree for those who are looking for that. There’s like, a flock of kids here, y’all. The cliffy at the end has got me all in a tizzy and now I absolutely can’t wait for book 2!! (Fluffy girls, represent!)
OMG I have been waiting for Hannah’s book!! She is literally my spirit animal and I see so much of myself in her when it comes to absolutely no filter. This is literally the perfect romcom and it’s super hot also! Cal is just WOW. They’re perfect for each other and I cannot wait to see them in future books!
This author loves the third act breakup storyline and honestly they often feel forced just to have that in the story. This one was equally weird and not very believable.
It was a good story with alot of detail to the details. The basic story is great and the spice is definitely there. The characters were great and funny.
I'm not much of a hockey fan ... obviously didn't think about hunky guys on ice skates! Such a fun story. Had a few giggles, a few chuckles, and lots of lusty tingles. I really. Liked this story and now have a new series to invest in.
