Wow, god of war, Ares. This was so good. I don’t know what Bella Matthew’s puts in these books but You get fully immersed into this story from the very beginning. Tropes: 🏒 Hockey Player 🩰 Ballerina 🏒 Bad Boy 🩰 Good Girl 🏒 Brother’s sister in law 🩰 Sister’s brother in law 🏒He falls first 🩰 Girl tribe Ares, is the bad boy hockey player, the enforcer, and his brother just married Grace’s sister. But Ares falls for Grace and hard. So much that when she gets a new job as the principle ballerina in London he not only wait for her for months, but he goes to visit her. Catch? No one knows they’ve been getting to know each other and have been talking for all those months. When an injury brings Grace back home, now she has to navigate her intrusive yet loving family, her future plans for her career, and her love for Ares. Ares is tough on the outside but sweet on the inside. Especially when it comes to Grace. He is the perfect book boyfriend. Grace is exactly what her name says. She is graceful and caring. A people pleaser that doesn’t like to hurt peoples feels. She loves her tribe. Not just her family but her friends too. The last person she expected to fall hard for was for Ares. But together, they are the cutest. I loved this book so much. The whole series has been amazing and I can’t wait to get the final installment. A must read! Binge worthy series!!
I love the way the story was told by the author. The chemistry between both was well written and to have figure it out first was a nice touch. Aries is a player but the minute he locked in with Grace, that was it for him. The “good twin” pulled him in and he never looked back. As the story progresses, you see not only love story building but a true friendship between these two characters. There is a pivotal moment in this book where Grace has to step up and own her decisions, which I thought was well written. Aries is the perfect boyfriend for Grace, and Grace was good for Aries. There is a lot going on with this one, but three things stood out for me 1. It was not drug addiction focus point, and she was strong enough to recognize and manage it. 2. No weird director getting in the mix to creep us all out. Thank you for that one. 3. I LOVE that her dad, Declan, saw the chemistry immediately and was accepting of their relationship. I have read all of this author's book and have never been disappointed. Even when there were a few moments where it went a little fast, it actually fit the story. Great read and you will not be disappointed. Let’s go to the next one, Brynn you are up. I need to know what is up with this girl. I mean seriously, creating a “Friends” moment by giving up her amazing apartment, and the awkward moment when Aries walks in on her with the guy in the living room. I am so ready!
Oh my, didn’t see that storyline coming, but loved it. Felt so bad and frustrated with Grace and all she was going through and hiding it from her family. Loved how Ares saw through her and how their relationship started and grew from there. Was impressed he flew to see her in London, and how he talked her into coming home, seeing through her. Loved the ending and bonus scene. So happy for them.
Man did I love this story. Made ares the man I thought he was. Hottest of the books yet with a great story. I loved this and the series so far! A good read
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘉𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘸𝘴 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Overall:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🔎𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐒🔎 Leads: Grace Sinclair and Ares Wilder HEA: ✅ Release Date: April 11, 2024 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 📖 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎 📖 Kindle Unlimited: ✅ Audible: coming in the future… Series: ✅ ~ Playing to Win ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 📝𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝗪📝 In love with Grace and Ares! This book was filled with emotions and really kept you swept up from chapter 1. I have been reading Bella’s books since the beginning and now seeing the second gen kids all grown up and finding their forevers it is so amazing! Grace Sinclair has always been known as the “good twin” her whole life and has always put everyone else’s wants before her own. She is an incredibly talented dancer but soon finds her drive and love for dancing has disappeared. We met Ares in the last book when his brother falls for Grace’s twin sister Everly. He is known as bad boy and ladies man. 🔹 I really resonated with Grace because I am a people pleaser and am always thinking about what others would want me to do. I love how much growth we see with her throughout the book and how she really breaks through this image that she thinks others have of her. I will definitely be trying to be more like she was in the end! I love not only her relationship with Ares but with Brynlee and the others! 🔹 Ares has had this connection with Grace since meeting her but it is never the right time. Grace is living across the pond pursuing her career and Ares playing hockey for the Philadelphia Revolution. They have so many obstacles but you don’t want to miss them trying to work out how to overcome them. 🔹 This book made my laugh, cry, and smile! It was amazing and I can’t wait to get more of this group!
