About This Book

***Stuck-together, stranger-to-lovers, Steamy Hockey Romance*** Seven and Brynn As the last line of defense for the Hawkeyes hockey team, I've mastered the art of keeping my guard up, both on and off the ice. But when Brynn Fischer, a determined romance author with a case of writer's block, shows up at my beach house in Mexico as a hurricane is headed straight for us, I'm forced to let her stay and confront emotions that I have no defense against. Now, we're stuck together while the storm rages outside and I'm faced with my own battle inside—keeping to my "no relationship" rule that's served me well over the last eighteen years.

But when Brynn starts showing me all the ways that she's nothing like anyone I've ever met, the armor I've built around my heart isn't strong enough to keep her out. Just when I think I'm ready to let her in, I discover she's planning to get back together with her ex when she returns to Seattle. Now, I have to make the toughest decision of my life.

Do I let her go for good? Or do I make the play of a lifetime and fight for the love I never saw coming?

I have to say this was the best book yet by Kenna King! I have loved each story line, so much, so I can't say I have a favorite, but this one is certainly in my 'to buy pile!'

Seven is my favourite out of all the guys so far and Brynn is all sorts of awesome. I read this book in a day. I love all the new characters (except the shady ones). I hope we get to read more about Rita. We all need a bit of Rita. Then there is Cammy. I'm so glad she gets her own book. She is going to give them all a run for their money (and sanity).

I’ve read the whole series up until now and I was so excited to read Seven’s story. I wish there was more of seeing Seven and Brynn as a couple in Seattle. I wish it ended with a bit more of them and not just them becoming a couple. Brynn frustrated me throughout the whole book. I understand the whole premise is her being confused about her only feelings but it was so blatantly obvious that Daniel couldn’t give a rats ass about her and she was so naive ignoring all the signs in the pit of her stomach.

Ok once I started reading this story I couldn’t stop. It’s a in depth reading and the development of the characters. Seven has been hurt before so he’s not that friendly. Brynn is on a break from her fiancé who undermines her and tear her down. She doesn’t really understand until she Mets seven and he shows her her worth.

I’ve read every one of the books in the series. As #6, I thought that the grammatical and spelling errors would be eliminated. Nope. There were sentences I had to read a couple of times to understand what was being said. Kenna, friend, please find a friend or reach out to your fans. I guarantee someone, heck even me, would be thrilled to help you out with this. Okay, that being out of the way, I enjoyed this book. I love Brynn and Seven’s story.

I had read some of the reviews from others who had mentioned they wish that Brynn and Seven’s story had been more set in the hockey world in Seattle with the rest of the players and their girlfriends. I couldn’t disagree more. Their story was secluded, intimate, and sweet and I loved every minute of it. Truly an enjoyable read. Love this series.

Not much about hockey in this one!

After reading the other 5 books, I didn’t miss the lack of actual hockey in this one. It was a good book over all, but still had the annoying typos all the rest have.

Great addition and story for our Goalie.

Great book; but, it felt like much more of a standalone book than a Hawkeye series book. The story itself was well presented and kept me reading. I do wish more of the action in the second half continued in Seattle and involved cameos/interactions with the rest of the Haweyes family that we have have come to know through the first few books. I still can't wait to read the rest of these books. I also can't wait to read to bonus epilouge. Hoping that this book gets an update that will link to it since I don't always see the emails!
