USA Today bestselling author, Kristin Lee beings you her signature emotional romance where there's more at stake than friendship. His name says it all. Dane Greathouse brings twenty-five thousand people to their feet—chanting his name like he's God.
I admit I am one of them. Lettie: Since second grade when Dane used to pull my hair and chase me around the art table, we've been inseparable. The only girl at his birthday parties.
The only boy allowed in my room. Camping. Swimming.
Riding. You name it — we've done it together, except the one thing. How can I focus on punching my ticket to the Olympics and earning a gold medal in Equestrian if I can't get Dane out of my head and into bed?
Just once and maybe I could get him out of my system. Dane: We’re graduating this year and if it goes as planned, I’ll be off to the NBA. I’ve had it all mapped out since I was sixteen...
to have Lettie by my side. In my bed. With a ring on her finger.
But Lettie Scott can’t take a hint and rather than lose my best friend, I stand by and watch her parade around in those short AF dresses and those riding boots, hanging on other guys. I finally have an opportunity to make my move. It's now or never.
Will fear of rejection and losing the most important person in my life keep us from stepping out of bounds? Or will we stand on the line, look at the basket and shoot to win? Hello there Kristin Lee! This was my first-time read of Kristin's and I went in totally blind, not having the faintest clue what this story was about. I love doing that because it gives me such an unbiased experience. I don't have any preconceived notions, expectations, or assumptions. From every detail revealed to every trope reveal, it becomes an experience for me - and I truly love that. That said, to experience the story of Dane and Lottie was a bit of a rollercoaster. We get their backstory of childhood best friends, their back-and-forth of loving each other but fearing losing the other while simultaneously lusting after the other. The struggle is so real. But Kristin takes it a bit deeper and really dives into the emotion and fears, while mixing in their life's challenges as well as what their futures hold - the footwork that's already been layed out for them. And... well, frankly, it's a lot. Mix in their friends, family, as well as their fans and future endeveours and all of a sudden things aren't so simple anymore. As a result, things seem - at times - so insurmountable. Yet, as with any HEA romance, we must remind ourselves that this too shall have a happily ever after. But Kristin really puts us through the wringer and at times I was emotionally spent! At other times I Just wanted to yell at each of them to say something, to step up, to reveal their feelings, to tell the other how it really is... ugh, the frustration I felt as a reader... therefore I can only imagine what the main characters were feeling. "Out of Bounds" is a rollercoaster of feelings, fear, joy, love, frustration, fear, and so much more. But at the end of the day, doesn't love always prevail? And that feeling... ohhh, so rewarding!
I’ve always loved the best friends to lovers trope. This one didn’t disappoint at all. Might be the best in this series.
🏀Review🐎 4/5⭐️ These two have been best friends since they were like 6 years old. They both have had feelings for each other for a while but don’t want to ruin their friendship… Dane is sick of seeing guys flirt with her and everything else so he kinda makes the first move with a light kiss but Lettie is thinking maybe she just imagined it. He brings up the kiss and things take a turn😝 I love their friendship and I love how hard he loves her. Dane’s dad causes some issues and Lettie breaks his heart along with her own. Lettie’s parents aren’t in the picture. But when her mom shows up things so south real quick. Dane realizes what his dad did and wants his girl back… I will say they deal with a miscarriage which is always hard for me so if that is a trigger for you here is a heads up!
I liked Lettie and Dane the few times we've met them and I knew they would have such a sweet story! I loved getting flashbacks from them growing up together and then seeing it relate to their experience as a couple. I can't wait hopefully see more of them in the future!
This book was so cute!! I loved Lettie and Dane's friendship! All the fun times they've shared over the years and how close their families are. Knowing both had feelings but wouldn't act on them until they had no choice but to act on them. They each had their loves and loved doing it. They have to make some big choices in this book and in the end, it worked out beautifully for them.
✨️ We stepped out of bounds, but this time, we’re standing on the line and shooting to win. ✨️ Out of Bounds by Kristin Lee Dane & Lettie 💙 Another book to put me through the ringer with all the feels! And so bittersweet. Out of Bounds is the last book in the Campus Stallions Series and boy did Kristin close out well. This one has all the feels. It's angsty and a rollercoaster ride of emotions for sure! Friends to lovers, right girl/wrong time, opposites attract & found family just to name a few. Dane is the star basketball player on campus. He's destined for greatness with the NBA in his reach. While his best friend Lettie is an Equestrian rider with a dream to make it to the Olympics. Both headed in different directions they're forced to confront the feelings that have been under the surface. Despite being polar opposites they were perfect for eachother. He was her light in the dark. She was his quiet in the loud. Watching these two find their hea was heartbreaking but beautiful in the end to see them finally get it. Because Kristin put them through it. Especially Lettie. But her strength and growth at the end is beautiful. And the unconditional love from Dane. These two fought like hell. I def recommend reading the series as a whole. Because it's amazing, as well as it will give you better insight to all of the characters. Kristin is one of my favorites. I'm sad to see this series come to an end but I am so excited to see what's next! 💙
Just when I think Kristin Lee can't top her last book she ultimately does! Out of Bounds did not disappoint. Dane and Lettie's had me captivated from the start. I laughed and cried. I felt like I was part of the characters life. I am sad to see this series end but can't wait to see where we end up next! This book can be read alone or if you want background on some of the other characters read the Campus Stallions series. I promise it won't disappoint!
