As soon as i reached the end of Blind Side, one of my favorite reads of the year, i began counting down the days until i could have this beauty in my life! Once it landed on my kindle, there was nothing holding me back from devouring this book like my favorite kind of cake. Oh my heart, did i ever love it! Holden and Julep's journey was the touchdown scored right into my heart! I was absolutely hooked to these two and their story from beginning to end. Holden is the quarterback and Julep is his new coach's daughter. Off-limits doesn't even begin to cover it between these two. Can they ignore everything between them? or can this game plan prove to be the best one yet? From the forced proximity and emotion to the forbidden and off the charts chemistry, Holden and Julep's story is one that's going to stick with me always. The realness that poured from these two characters got to me in so many ways. I loved peeling back their layers and getting their true selves. The way they got under each other's skin, how they lit my kindle on fire, and how they hit me right in the chest with every single bit of feels are things i adored so dang much! I related to Julep and Holden on so many levels. Their story was such a one of a kind take on reverse grumpy/sunshine! The football aspect of this story thrilled me! I really enjoyed the way it tackled things you don't see often in books. It made my book loving heart so dang happy to be back in this world and reunite with some of my favs! I'd stay with the NBU crew forever if i could. Quarterback Sneak was the reminder of why i love to read romance that packs a punch. Ms.Steiner doesn't just hit the heart with her words, she gets right down the marrow and makes every bit memorable. From the writing to the characters, it's unforgettable, thought provoking, and so amazing i just want to wrap Quarterback Sneak in a hug! Don't miss out on this book this fall! Ms.Steiner was born to write and i thank my lucky stars that she does. I've been a reader of hers for years, but this series right here has come into my life and left it's mark on this soul of mine in ways i so needed. Another favorite from this author for me! Trauma bonding at its finest but not as gagged as expected. Both main characters had lost family members close to them but one was still wallowing and the other had found a way to deal with the grief. I thought it was pretty cringe that Julep still hadn’t gotten any counseling for her grief. It was odd that it seemed perfectly ok that her mom chose not to move with her and her dad and essentially hadn’t spoken to her for 5 years. Holden’s story was super tragic but having an uncle who was committed to helping him through the grief was really lovely to read. I also loved that he enjoyed gardening at the football house. Overall, the football was footballin’ and the spice was spicy.

I couldn’t possibly love this series any more than I do. Author Kandi Steiner Is one of those authors I immediately one-click. ANYTHING she writes. I don’t even need to read the blurb first. I know I’m going to love it. I don’t think I have ever rated any of her works less than a four star. Pretty sure I would darn near give one of my pinky toes to be granted the privilege to ARC read her grocery list. Lol But really, If you are anything like me then you love a good college/new adult, sports, forbidden (quarterback & coach’s daughter), forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, secret romance. What you will find even more appetizing here is the way this author flips the trope script on you and you get anything but the typical in some of these tropes. Trust me, you definitely don’t have to worry that you’ve read this story before. Because you HAVEN’T! Holden and Julep were unexpectedly everything I didn’t know I needed and SO.MUCH.MORE! HOLY HOT HADES! Two words ladies. Holden.Moore. The little tidbits we’ve got of our captivating captain in the previous books could never have prepared my heart for a whole book of Holden. Very focused and together, he’s got one thing on his mind, football. Pretty planned out for smooth sailing right on through his senior year. But what he couldn’t have planned out in any playbook, was being flipped right on his fanny by none other than the coach’s daughter, in all her delicious forbidden glory. Julep Lee has walls as high and tight as Ft. Knox up to keep people from getting close. No stranger to loss, it’s just best to not get close to people then you can’t lose them. Holden is someone and evokes feelings she never expected. His ability to cut down to the most vulnerable and terrified parts of her and meet her there, with an understanding only someone who knows pain like she has could. GAH. 🥺 The emotions in this book. In their story they discovered how to let things be and forgive themselves. They were able to look at life from a new perspective. That realization that you have found your person. The one who completes you, who gives you strength to let your guard down and truly be vulnerable with someone else. The complexity and depths to these characters. Their journey of finding love and a special bond over shared past traumatic experiences, and being able to share those with each other. A love so powerful and full of hope and healing in these sweet and tender moments. 🥰😍🥰 But as sweet as Holden was he had this amazingly alpha side that came out and it was hella hot y’all. Like a spark ready to ignite at any second they were just explosive. I’m talking about he smirks, the dimple comes out and panties go 💣 🩲POOF! 🩲💣💋 *Chef’s Kiss*💋 I mean we all know combustible undies at a smile and a wink equals a good day. Am I right?!😏 Quarterback Sneak is the third stand-alone book in the Red Zone Rivals series. While you do not have to read the other book in the series before reading this, there are appearances by couples from the previous books. Plus they are amazing stories, so I cannot recommend them enough, so I say read them anyway if you can. You will be so glad you did. Her emotional and angst filled writing never fails to suck me right from the first paragraph and have me lingering in a book hangover long after the last sentence is read. Her masterful word wizardry blends fun and super sexy, with the perfect amount of emotions and angst. It is so obvious the careful thought she puts into the backstory of each and every unique character she creates. I can’t get enough. Especially her series. That is why she is at the top of my list of one of my favorite one-click authors! 🌶HEAT~ 🌶🌶🌶🌶 EXPLOSIVE, SCORCHING AND DELICIOUS. This author never let’s me down in the “love scene” department. 🥰HEA/CLIFFY🧗‍♀️~ No Cliffy. HEA- I was left all warm and ooey gooey at the end. I couldn’t love Holden and Julep any more than I do at this moment. So happy with the glimpse into the fourth and final book in the Red Zone Rivals Series. While I’m so sad to see this series end, I will be super pumped to see what Ms.Steiner has in store for us next.
