This is a great gift for that big football fan in your life. I got this one for my brother in law and I cannot wait to give it to him for christmas, it seems like a fun trivia game/challenge. My husband and brother in law are always talking about football and this just seemed like a no brainer for me.

My kid loves anything football and appreciates the history and trivia. They've been reading this in the car and on trips. Also loves to bring it to school and look things up with friends.

My husband is an avid football fan. He is a Seahawks loyalist but just loves everything about the game of football. So when I saw this, I knew I had to get it. We now play this game where once a day I will ask him a couple of questions from the book. I must say I am super impressed. He has gotten almost every single one of them. I like how the book is divided up. I like the details that are put into the beginning of each chapter. I love that it has a good balance of multiple choice, true and false and just answer the question, type questions. For someone that knows next to nothing, me, to be able to start up a bit of conversation to break up the day with someone that is almost an expert on stats about football, my husband, this could not be more of a gift for our marriage. It is a good book. Worth the price of admission. Love that it is current. Get this book and have some fun.

The title of this book is "The Complete Book of Football Trivia," and it does not disappoint. This book has TONS of trivia for die hard fans of NFL football, going back to the very beginning of the sport. The book is well-organized into sections that have to do with specific types of trivia (e.g. The Draft, Coaches, Bloopers, etc), which makes it easy to consume the content. Unlike some trivia books, which simply print lists of facts, this book is full of questions whose answers can be found in the back of the book. That makes it easy to test yourself or your friends without revealing the answers. Recommended for die-hard football fans!

There's a lot of questions in here...chapters have short intro's, some better than others giving a little background on the upcoming topics, as well as some interlude stories in the chapters. I was reminiscent of old NFL fact and story books when I was growing, giving history and stats on current players and their accomplishments. Of course since then, there has now been 40 more years of history and stats, so this book will not be focusing on particular players and their backgrounds. This book does pretty good job of hitting a lot of historical events and stats, and at a good price point for a book. In my opinion it is a bit scattered. I'd like to see it broken up more by categories, like statistics, quotes, etc. It is grouped by teams, players, coaches, drafts, hall of fame, etc. So if you're looking for records and statistics, you may not find it super easy to locate, as the question for who first rushed for 10,000 yards, is next to which receiver prank called his coach at 2am because he was open. Answer key is at the back of the book- it might be nicer to have it at the end of the chapter to make going back and forth a little easier. So all in all, it has a lot information and trivia. Some of the questions are kind of eh, probably didn't need to be a question. The other 80% you'll have to read through to find the good questions and tidbits.

The first thing I noticed when I received this book was how heavy it was. On examination I saw (and felt) that the paper was of excellent quality (no tearing) and that the binding was also (it’s not stitched or anything, but the paper is folded in several sections which are then glued together to the cover -MUCH better than glueing the ends of the papers to the cover!) Then I noticed that the printing is of an easily read type. But all of that really doesn’t matter if the content and the quality of the writing isn’t worth reading. But that’s another good thing to say about this book – it’s a fun read! It has piles of interesting material about interesting football facts. Some are of more interest to me than others (Franco Harris went to my high school in NJ and was a Steelers star – I now live near Pittsburgh), but there are things that I never even thought of to learn about (why is there a rule named after a player?). This book is categorized and indexed so you can quickly find what you’re looking for (and find it again at a later date). I’m glad that I got this, and I recommend it to you if you are a football fan.
