About This Book

There's one rule smart hockey players know not to break: never, and I mean, NEVER date the coach's daughter. But no one ever accused Van of being smart. When the mouthy bad boy of the Appies catches the groom cheating on the coach's daughter, he can't just walk away.

Not on her wedding day. Maybe his own relationships are casual, but he would never cheat and never treat wedding vows so carelessly. Not after he and his sisters watched their divorced parents cycle through marriage after marriage.

But forcing the groom to come clean sets off a chain reaction Van couldn't have expected. Ending with a black eye, an unexpected trip to Florida with one runaway bride, and a secret bargain struck with Coach. A bargain that may just jeopardize the very real and very inconvenient feelings he's developing for the very last person he ever should.

Runaway Bride and Prejudice is a closed door hockey romance featuring the team bad boy and a very good girl who also happens to be the coach's daughter. It's a sports romance with all the sizzle and swoon, but no spice. This is part of the Appies hockey romance series, featuring Just Don't Fall, Absolutely Not in Love, a Groom of One's Own, and Romancing the Grump.

These books are standalones but may be best read in order.

Runaway Bride and Prejudice is a fun story to get wrapped up in. The characters are in the midst of a tough situation as he caught her groom with someone else before the ceremony. Her big day has ended in a horrible way. They end up on her honeymoon together. The puns in the story were creative and added a lot of laughs. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing how their romance developed. Great job, Ms St Clair. This is a fun, delightful Christian RomCom read everyone will enjoy.

What a whirlwind romance! I didn’t really have any expectations going into this one, but I knew I definitely had to read the next book in the Appies series. Van and Amelia‘s story was full of funny and sweet moments, but also displayed the raw emotions of two realistically flawed, but growing characters. The pacing was a little bit fast for me, but I still couldn’t put it down.

Read it!

I'm not a huge fan of romcoms with big flirts or with relationships that start immediately after one ends. But I love Emma so I decided to take a chance and trust her. I'm so glad I did. This was a great story and she wrote it without the cringyness I was afraid of. You get to see a whole other side of Van that you only see glimpses of in previous books and Amelia is just adorable. Worth the read

another great read in the series

Runaway Bride and Prejudice was such a fun book! Gotta love those Appies! Mills & Van were so cute together, and I loved that they'd met each other before they knew that he was an Appies hockey player, and she was the coaches daughter, and they hit it off. Sometimes, when it's the right person, you just know. The plot kept me reading, the characters kept me smiling and smirking, and the clean romance kept me coming back for more. So satisfying and swoony!

I just love this clean hockey romance!

I honestly didn't think Van could win me over, based on what I knew of him from the other books. But oh how I was wrong! I can't say much about the story, because I don't want to spoil it. But buckle up for the roller coaster, it's totally worth it! So many emotions while I read this one! 😡🤯😍😵‍💫🤣😭🥳🛒🌊🏒 One of my favorite chapters was the group text with his teammates. Hilarious. I love this team so much! And don't forget to grab a Diet Dr. Pepper to enjoy while you're reading 😉

Couldn't put it down

This book was fun and the main characters had a depth to them, and some very fun laugh out loud dialouge moments. And some heartfelt growth and searching.

Worth the whole read just to get to that last line.❤️
