**Now an Amazon Top 17 Bestseller** Easton Hayes has been my knight in shining hockey skates since he saved my life. This devastatingly handsome grump may be everyone’s favorite goalie, but to me, he’s my strength when demons haunt my dreams. And okay—so maybe he’s also the only man I’ve ever loved.
But he doesn’t need to know that. We’re friends. It works for us.
At least, it did. Until I wake up with his ring on my finger and the hangover from hell. But what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas when he refuses to give me an annulment and follows me across the country instead.
Now our families are furious. Our friends are playing matchmaker. I’m getting goosebumps each time I hear the words “my wife.” And I think my husband might be in love with me.

Meet Easton and Lindy, two characters who've had their love story written in the stars since they were teens. With their shared trauma, they form a bond that couldn't be broken even if you tried. But drama kicks off when these two friends decide to say "I do" in the city that never sleeps. I like how we saw bits and pieces throughout the story of what happened that night. How did they go from friends to a married couple? The problem is, Lindy doesn’t even remember herself. Easton's left with the ultimate mission: prove he's dead serious about this marriage gig. Lindy and Easton not only have to convince each other but also go to war with their families who are not taking the time to ask them how they feel and instead trying to get them an annulment. Bella spins this slow-burning tale that's not just about love but about proving it, earning it, and sometimes, fighting like a gladiator for it. Lindy's internal struggles and Easton's relentless efforts make them real, relatable characters you'll be rooting for. Lindy learns to stand up for herself for the first time, and while her family is quite surprised at the way she spoke to them, I was quite proud! We really got to see Lindy become her own person and the way that Easton supported her just proved how much he loved her. I am loving getting to know all these second gen characters and can’t wait to find out more from them. They were great secondary characters and made for really fun group chats. The ending was so exciting. I think it was a little rushed and could have been more impactful had there been more time. But then to have the scene on the rooftop *chefskiss*. The Keeper is a testament to the power of love, the battles we fight for it, and the joy of finding your forever person.
Easton and Lindy are SO adorable! Love how long they have truly loved each other. The story is very fast paced but I literally couldn’t put it down!!!
This hockey romance has a lot of drama and heart. The banter between Lindy and Easton is engaging. The twist from the Vegas wedding was perfect. I loved how the friends all supported them, but the family had to be convinced. The only downside is it seemed like the family characters were from previous books that I hadn’t read. The book is definitely a good stand alone on its own.
Oh my, loved how Easton and Lindy were there for each other before getting married. Wasn’t expecting the way she reacted though, but when she remembered it was beautiful. Love how they stood up for each other and how Lindy finally stood up to her family, getting them to see her as an adult instead of a little kid. Love how there characters have grown. Another amazing book.
It’s a cute story. I don’t agree with it being a standalone. I would suggest going to the first generation and working your way through. I didn’t understand how everyone was connected and introductions were too rapid to remember. Max/Maddox, Beckett/Brandon. It was hard to remember who was who. As for the story itself, it needed more history. It was a finally together after all this time. But, Bella Matthews eliminated the part where they pine for each other. It’s a quick snapshot. The trauma story isn’t revealed until a lot further along. It’s just a non story. Having said that, I did catch myself laughing and smiling. So I do think if you want to read this series that you should start with the first generation to build interest in other characters. There was no interest in their story for me. Just confusion about the past and the brothers and sisters but different moms.
Enjoyed how Easton & Lindy’s love story unfolded. They had great heat. Really appreciated their character development and the weaving of side characters (family & friends) into the mix. Loved the banter and humor throughout. Most of all I could feel the love all the characters had for each other. Looking forward to reading more from this author. Thanks Bella for a great story.
I chose to finally read this story after finishing a longer sci-fi/thriller book, and it was the perfect pallet cleanser I needed. First off, Easton is all kinds of hot, from being the smooth and confident hockey player to immediately embracing the “my wife”. It was very easy to fall for him and to see the love that he and Lindy had. this book delivers on exactly what it promises: a sweet, low drama good romance
I have not read the 1st generation of Kroydon Hills books. This was my introduction to this group. I don't know if I had trouble with the side characters because of that or I am just getting worse with keeping track of them and such. The description does let you know it is the 2nd generation and a standalone. As I was reading, I did wonder if it would have been better if I read the other books first because you know there is more to the story and a past to it, by the end of the story I felt like I knew all the details I needed to enjoy this story and have the full picture of this couple. Saying that if I read other books and that gives me a little more to their story it will be enjoyable and could have me re-reading this story - that will not be a problem! I read this book in one sitting. I did not want to stop reading and stayed up late to finish it. I woke up still smiling over this book and very happy I read it, You read very quickly that it is both of them that have hidden feelings for each other and that made me smile over this book a little more. They have been through so much together and you see how strong their friendship is. She is the one that doesn't remember, and he is patient with her to remember and doesn't let it hold him back. This book shows how much patience, love, support and devotion these two have for each other. Everyone deserves to have his level of devotion to her, in their own partner.
