A well written, fun, spicy hockey romance. Checked all my boxes. I wish the conflict had been a bit deeper/more complex and less drawn out, but this was a good book. Will continue the series.

Maven King’s spirit has been broken by James, her wealthy ex of two years. Everything with them was great until she met his family and then he broke it off. She’s struggling to get her life back on track with her friends and their social media business. They’re covering an sports gala and the local hockey team strikes up a deal to enlist this social media group to boost their online presence. Maven is tasked with following around a hot new rookie, Vince Tanev, who is making a name for himself on and off the ice. The video and photos she’s posting are gaining momentum to the point that the national news sites are reposting her content. Vince is attracted to Maven but she’s trying her best to resist. All the attention he gives her is just over shadowed by the pain from her last relationship. She can’t let go of the fear, but with the help of her best friend … there may be a way. I read these books out of order and should have started with this one, but they are all so good and I’m excited to see another one is in the works.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the story and i liked the characters. The only thing that didn’t do it for me was at about the halfway mark it kind of stopped being a story and turned into the just having sex constantly. It got better by the end though. And another thing that turned me off was that his nickname for her was “pet” and i couldn’t read it without cringing lol But regardless of that, Maven and Vince were a cute couple and the spice was good. I’m looking forward to reading Jax and graces story

More hockey romance... and this one had some of my favorite tropes! It had some... • Forced Proximity • Enemies to Lovers • Reformed playboy This book had all the banter and some next level spice! The chemistry was off the charts. I liked Vince's cocky side and how it contrasted with his softer side. It was so adorable how hard he fell for Maven. This is a hockey romance but also a workplace romance since Maven has to spend time with Vince and document his everyday for social media. I loved all the forced proximity. I do have to say that even though I did enjoy this one, there were a few things that bugged me. I'm not a huge fan of Vince using other girls to make Maven jealous in the way he did. I also didn't feel like her respected her job and her need to be professional enough. I definitely still enjoyed the book, and it was worth the read... overall, I did like the characters... I just didn't love them.

This was my first read for this author and it was fabulous. Im normally a historical romance reader but this author has me hooked on this particular trope. Meet Your Match was all the spice and alpha male that one could ask for in a steamy read. The character development and supporting characters were well written. The story line tracks well and keeps you turning the pages with spice beyond spice as you go. This story is full of humor and great comradey among the characters that makes you fall for everyone involved. The epilogue and bonus scene leaves the reader panting and wanting more which luckily the next 2 books in the series were available so you can jump right in to the next read. Loved both characters and reading them interact and their relationship develop was a fun read. This author delivered in every aspect. She definitely has me hooked!!

This is my first book of Kandi's, I'm a newbie!! I didn't really love the characters in this one, I had a hard time getting into the story and didn't love Vince as a character the whole way through. I did really like Kandi's writing style and the story. Definitely moving on to book 2!

Whenever Ms.Steiner announces a new book i cannot contain my excitement! When i found out that a hockey series was coming our way i freaked out! Hockey + Kandi?! I'm ALL IN! This book immediately became one of my most anticipated reads of the year and i stopped everything i was doing to dive into this beauty and get right into the Kings of the Ice world! Once i did, there was no way i wasn't finishing this in one sitting because i couldn't put it down! I absolutely loved it! Maven and Vince's journey hooked me and this heart of mine from beginning to end! Maven is part of the Tampa Bae Babes who focus on showing love to things in the area. Vince is a rookie on the Tampa Bay Ospreys hockey team and is focused on making the team better. When an opportunity arises for Maven to spend a month with Vince highlighting his rookie season and everything it entails should be easy, right? Maybe, but their first meeting at the all-star gala didn't end well. I loved the way Maven and Vince were brought together and getting to see how they'd handle being around one another for so long. The way Maven and Vince got under each other's skin and gave as good as they got was absolutely EVERYTHING! The back and forth and the sparks igniting between them was every bit addictive. There was so much more to both Vince and Maven than meets the eye and peeling back their layers was something i so enjoyed. Maven wanting to help others and the world was beautiful to me. I related to her in so many ways, especially when it came to matters of the heart and caring which i felt so connected. Vince surprised me in the best of ways! His passion for hockey and his love for a certain art had me going all heart eyes! 😍 The chemistry Vince and Maven shared was undeniable and lit my kindle up! 🥵 The journey of seeing these two clash and click was so special for me. Opening your heart after it's been through so much can be one of the most terrifying things, but doing so can lead to the best kind of gift, something Maven and Vince's story sure showed in spades. From the way Maven and Vince had to be in each other's lives around the clock to the hockey as well as social media aspects and the electric heat between Maven and King, this is one of the most unique hockey romances i've ever read in my life and definitely a favorite! The friendships Vince shared with his teammates and Maven's friendship with Livia were so wonderful! Also, Break Stuff for the win! Gah! I am already so obsessed with the Kings of the Ice / Ospreys crew! From the hockey moments to the priceless ones, I swear i just want to stay in this world with these characters forever, that's how much i adored all of them! I highlighted so many parts of this story and here are some of my favorite quotes! - "I'm not wearing your jersey." "Maven hadn't taken her eyes off me. I wasn't sure i ever could take my eyes off her." "Every waking hour, every waking minute of my life is wrecked by thoughts of you." "You are so deep-seated in my mind, in my being. I will never be rid of you." "Now, it's a kaleidoscope of color, Dizzying and maddening and beautiful." With Meet Your Match, Ms.Steiner has created an utterly unique, addictive, and unforgettable hockey romance that was the best kind of hat trick! This author proves time and time again why she was born to write. I can always count on her books to hit the heart and soul with every single word. She leaves her mark and her stories consume my mind each time. This is one of my top reads of 2023 for sure! This book reminded me why i love to read! Also, forever wishing for a Vince of my own! 🧡🏒 If you haven't picked up her books yet, change that ASAP! Her stories are not to be missed, my fellow book lovers! 🧡
