The thrilling apocalyptic horror series in one complete box set! From bestselling author of Dead Meat , a terrifying, epic and action-packed story about the carnage unleashed when a strange object in the sky turns people into blind, raging monsters. It’s an ordinary Monday.
Until everything changes forever. At 2:44 PM, a mysterious crack appears in the sky. Anyone unfortunate enough to look up is immediately struck blind.
What’s worse, their mind is wiped clean, replaced with a vicious urge to kill anyone within reach. Mark is at work when it happens. Fighting not to fall asleep, the boring department meeting suddenly turns into a bloodbath when people are drawn to the windows to look up at the sky.

Stopping at a red light, Tommy's stepdad leans forward to gaze upwards. Without warning, Tommy is trapped inside the car with a mindless monster intent on killing him.
Now, these ordinary people must stand together in the fight for mankind, or die along with it. As the crack grows bigger, more and more people succumb to the rage. Societies collapse and the world is plunged into mayhem.

great book always enjoy your books
I absolutely love this take on zombies. Our own misgivings and faults tear us down. It's almost biblical. Loved the antagonist.
This is a great book but it does go into heavy detail about SA. I would not recommend it if you’re sensitive to things like this. I wish I knew that before I read it. Everything else about the book is great! Some of the male characters are a bit insufferable but it’s a good book nonetheless.
I found the characters to be great. Each of them were flawed and made mistakes, which made them real and relatable.
Okay, let's talk about the bad. I'm not a writer. My grammar and spelling sucks. But you know what sucks more? When you read a book and there is such a glaring mistake you have to sit back and say to yourself "How could they possibly miss this!?" Such mistakes cause you to pause, even to stop reading a book when they are frequent and obnoxious. Guess what there is not? There are, pleasantly, few of these types of mistakes! Sure, there's one or two ("dusty") here or there, that's too be expected. But glaring mistake that make you fall out of the book world? None that I noticed. Certain phrases are repeated occasionally, but I also did not find that detracting from the story, and it did not cause me to lose interest. The good, the great: I couldn't set this book series down. I made it to the end, easily, without fighting to finish. I was drawn to the book, wanting to see what happened next. Mr. Nick's writing style is phenomenal. I don't say that lightly, I truly mean it is a compliment. Character continuity: This series of books is basically told from each character's point of view, a bit at a time. Some will love this, some won't. I personally like it a lot. When switching from character to character, the time line generally stays in place. IOW, there is no confusion as to how and why each character is at the point there are. Descriptions: the action and scenery are feed to you in such a way that your imagination can bring the sights and feeling, even the smells, into existence. Subject matter: this book has it all. Science fiction, zombies ("The Blind."), invaders, portal to portal travel, hand to hand combat, monsters, there's something here for everyone. I'd LOVE to go into detail, but then I'd have to give a spoiler alert! Bottom line: if you like action, emotion, monsters, saving the world, and the fight to win that only a mother's love can bring, you are probably going to love this book! As a side note, I purchased this book based on Mr Nicks Facebook ad and severely book description. I mention this because had it not been for that ad I would have never discovered Mr Nick. I've now purchased other stories of his. Best wishes to you sir! Thank you kindly for bringing forth such an entertaining masterpiece.
This book proves out what I’ve told my writing students over and over again, the writing doesn’t matter nearly as much as the story. Sure, there were plenty of typos in here and misused words. It takes place in Denmark so maybe English is not his first language. Either way, the story hooked me from the start. Although not a zombie story, it had the same dystopian feel of survivors against a dangerous world. At the same time it had that good against evil vibe — sort of like The Stand. If those are the kinds of things you like, then you’ll be riveted. Plus there’s plenty to it since it’s a huge series. The characters are believable and you get to know most of them well. All in all, I’d say it’s a great read for those who like these types of stories and who do t get snobbish about typos etc.
I really can’t believe I read this series. Not something I would normally read. It was outstanding. Nothing like I thought it would be. So many twists and turns. You never really knew what would happen which makes for a great story, which it was! So much more than a zombie story. Loved it!
I was very entertained by this whole series. Each book picked up where the previous book left off. The characters were complex. The twists and turns were riveting, and it was difficult to put the books down as I was so engrossed by the stories. I've listened to the individual audiobooks also. Spencer Dillehay's narration was great, and his performance enhanced the story's entertainment.
