Our family has purchased many iterations of the atlas and Gazit year over the years. This is a very rural state, with logging roads and new developments springing up every year, it is constantly changing. This gets updated, well GPS does not always. This also gives many handy Other bits of information such as railroad lines, bodies of water, rivers and streams, ATV and snowmobile trails, etc. We usually acquire the new one every couple of years when it comes out and I wish it would come out each year. This book was instrumental and teaching our kids how to use Maps what the parts of the maps are, how to find out where you are and where you need to go. GPS is a great tool, but it is very important to know how to use a map. We've gone on many adventures in the Moosehead Lake Region and found many of the places thanks to this Atlas. Definitely a must have for your next road trip.
This is a must have when road tripping Maine. Many places are rural with sketchy to zero phone service so these detailed paper maps have saved us several times.
Great for the back roads of Maine especially without GPS!
Takes some work to find your way around the atlas but several benefits. See examples in photos. My son moved to Eagle Lake and likes this Atlas.
Handy addition to our digital tool kit.
Lost my old one. So glad to have this in addition to all the electronics. Can research at my leisure and explore areas or plot a course. Afraid these will go away with technology.
Can’t live without this book!
