I had purchased a planned trip from an Iceland Trip planner and then found Rick Steves Iceland book. This was much cheaper and had more information. Rick's book worked great and provided detailed info on the complete island. If you are planning an Iceland trip this is a must buy!
Rick Steves books thorough and exceptional
Easy to follow suggestions for a great trip. Going on a cruise but Rick's guide makes free time easy to fill.
Lots of information in this guide. It's up to date information you can trust.
Rick Steves travel guides always offer lots of details. I especially appreciate the recommended itineraries. You can easily cut the book apart (use an X-Acto knife) so you only have to take the sections you are interested in with you instead of the whole book. Well worth the money. I have purchased probably 10 of Rick Steves guides over the years and it is my go-to guide. My only disappointment is we are traveling in winter and the book is designed for regular travel season. I would love to see an expanded section for winter travel.
While this book is full of great info, it was difficult to follow because we were doing the ring in the opposite direction
We used Rick Steves Iceland book as a guide for the Ring Road trip for five days. We also used for Reykjavík for two days. Rick again was spot on, making it very easy for us to plan our trips and his priority ratings spot on. I also have purchased his books for Portugal in Greece, and also have used as free audio app. This is a must have book for people planning a trip to Iceland.
Helpful information presented in an organized way. Paper maps included with the book were great too even with GPS. We found a few places not listed from online reviews that we would recommend, but there’s only so much one can put in a book!
