THE WORD OF PROMISE
I absolutely love this and it is professionally done. It adds so much to just reading and the sounds in the background bring it to life. You even hear the creaking of a door, pouring of water, etc. I play it when I'm cooking or take it to the beach, in my car, wherever. The voice of God the Father is so perfect! You hear strength, power, yet tenderness and is wonderfully done. I didn't give it 5 stars only because I have a hard time with the voice of Peter the apostle. For me, at least, he sounds way to polished, and not at all like the gruff, outspoken fisherman the bible portrays him to be. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this outstanding product and it is well worth the money.

SOME OF THE BIBLE IS KINDA BORING, FACE IT THE SON OF - WHO SON OF -.etc. THIS SET MAKES THE BORING PARTS INTERESTING, THE DRAMATIC PARTS ARE EXCEPTIONAL, FANTASTIC, CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT ALL THE TALENTED VOICES, I FIRST LISTENED TO A PASSAGE FROM GENISIS, THAT I HAVE READ MANY TIMES WITHOUT A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OR COMPREHENSIVE, LISTENING TO THIS PASSAGE FROM THE CD, I NOW HAVE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF IT, THAT I NEVER HAD JUST READING, I HAVE READ THE BIBLE COMPLETELY THOUGH 3 TIMES IN MY LIFE. DIFFERENT VERSIONS. BUT MOST IMPORTANT MY WIFE LOVES IT , I BOUGHT IT FOR HER BECAUSE HER EYESITE IS FAILING, AFTER BUYING HER A SUPER GIANT PRINT BIBLE, BECAME HARD TO READ, I BOUGHT THIS. A REAL BLESSING. AND MIGHT ADD THIS IS WORD FOR WORD OF THIS VERSION ALSO. THIS THING IS WORTH SO MUCH MORE THAN IT COSTS, INCALCULABLE.!!!!

Jim Caviezel as Jesus. What's not to like?
I have arthritis in my hands and I don't see as well as I once did so wanted an audio version of the Bible for the days I struggle with these issues. I saw Jim Caviezel on a video and enjoy his work, especially his portrayal of Jesus in The Passion. One of the ppl mentioned this audio Bible and since Jim Caviezel voices Jesus and all the other actors are so accomplished and have wonderful voices I decided to purchase it. Plus, I like the NKJV translation. I was not disappointed. I have decided to listen from Genesis straight through to Revelation so can't comment on Jim Caviezel yet but the OT is just wonderful. Exciting but not overly dramatic. I think it will be a much easier way for me to "read" through the Bible this year. Highly recommend.

This collection has so many great actors in it. I highly recommend this. It helps me read The Holy Bible & The music in it is excellent. This is a must have for our home. Thank you.
The Word of Promise
This is a great product especially for those who does not like to read. This will help you to increase your faith in the WORD, AS FAITH COMES BY HEARING, HEARING THE WORD OF GOD. Is not boring, the background sound and the character of each speaker spoke the word with emotion making the word of GOD alive. I can't have enough of it. I listen to it everyday and the best thing is you can rewind and listen to any passage of the Bible again and again until it goes deep into your heart and that is where your faith is build up. Is so amazing. Is also good for those who does not like to read some of the old Testament books that may seem boring but it is not when you hear the Bible comes alive in this amazing product. This product is different, it is NOT narrated by one person reading the bible without emotion and no background sound, as this is monotonous. I will recommend to anyone who seriously want to know the word of GOD, you'll be surprised how different it is hearing the word than reading, I have miss out important verses when reading it with the eyes as our minds do wonder away. I would say by far is the best audio Bible I have ever owned though I have others, being "The Bible Experience" as one of them. The BEST part is, I can use it anywhere taking one or two CD if I want to listen to certain chapters not having to carry the whole Bible as it is heavy when I don't need the whole book. Memorizing is so much easier when I hear the word The Word of Promise: Complete Audio Bible . Go for it, this is worth every penny for me at least. I love it.

Love this audio bible.
This is great. I have a set of bible CDs (dramatized, NIV), which I've had for decades. As you can imagine, it's a lot of CDs in a case. This audio bible is much less cumbersome and easier to use, and I can play it anywhere on my phone. So nice to be able to listen to the bible anywhere. Also, the narrator does a very good job and strikes just the right tone. I still like my CDs because they are dramatized, but you can't beat this audio bible for convenience. UPDATE: When I wrote this review, I was reviewing a different audio bible. The Word of Promise audio bible is dramatized, you are listening to a variety of voices. I'd honestly forgotten about this purchase and had been listening to a different audio bible, which is not dramatized. I love The Word of Promise Audio Bible so much more, and I think it's perfect.
