The Bible Made Easy for Kids by Dave Strehler is designed to engage children in a way that makes the Bible meaningful and interesting. Due to its sheer volume and small print, children may find it difficult to read a standard version of the Bible. This creative learning tool, read along with the own Bible, encourages children to discover the exciting connection between Bible stories and God's plan for their lives.
There are line drawings that can be colored in, simple maps, interesting charts, and basic timelines that get kids excited about their journey from Genesis to Revelation. The topical index makes this an ideal resource for homeschooling. This book is not a Bible, but along with the Bible, it is a great guide for parents to use with family devotions, or for children to use in their personal Bible study.

I have no words to say how awesome this book is. I would say this book should be in every Christian homes with children and also an excellent book for Sunday school lessons. We have been using this book for the past two years and we were able to teach our kid very well as this book has pictures and explains things so well that a kid could understand and help parents to explain Bible really well. I was surprised to even see the book of revelation explained so well that it was easy for me to teach my kids. Please grab one and try it out and I am sure all the good reviews of this book talks from itself. Thank you David for your awesome dedication and hard work on making this Bible book possible for kids. We have orded his next two books. God bless you
I have been reading this nightly with my 9 and 12 year old. It has been a great conversation starter for many things in the Bible. We are o my 52 pages into it, but we have all loved it! It’s short enough that you can easily fit it in a nightly routine, but it flows well enough that you can also read multiple pages if you so desire.
This is a good bible for story telling and helping kids understand different people in the Bible, but if you’re wanting to help kids with becoming familiar with scripture chapters and verses, this Bible just summarizes chapters. It does reference scripture, just not the traditional set up. I added a picture in case this doesn’t make sense lol overall my kids love it, it has helped them become familiar with the stories of the Bible.
My 9 year old stepdaughter had a LOT of questions about Christianity and this book has been so insightful for her. She is able to comprehend the material well and the explanations/information is easy to follow. She is in the process of becoming baptized and this book really taught her so much of the foundational concepts she will be learning more about.
This Kids Study Bible is simply fantastic! It's beautifully illustrated and written in a way that engages children, making learning about the Bible fun and interactive. The study notes and activities provide valuable insights and help kids understand the stories and teachings on a deeper level. It's been a wonderful resource for my children's spiritual growth, and I highly recommend it to other families looking to introduce their kids to the Bible in an enjoyable and meaningful way.
It really is "The Bible Made Easy - for Kids!" Easy to read together or a child can read it on their own! Easy to discuss! With some illustrations and simplified with fewer words! The So important doctrines are there! Got for an 5 yr. old, 8 yr. old and 9 yr.old boys!
I was trained as a parochial school teacher in a denomination that is very particular how Christian language is used and material is presented. I was afraid I could be wasting my money on material I shouldn't use in my VBS classroom. When I received the book, I found the stories in this year's curriculum and was pleased that all were included. Moreover, I carefully examined the points upon which my church finds friction with others. Everything I checked made me think this book had been printed by our own publishing house though it had not been. Teaching is clear and accurate about God's Word and how it teaches Christians to see Him. The presentation of salvation, of the lives of Christ, the Apostles, and the Church of the New Testament and the Families of the Old whose lives led to Christ's birth are presented well and with an appeal that will reach out to low and middle graders. As a former preschool teacher, I have no hesitation in thinking I could simplify it enough for preschoolers too. It is that well-written. The layout starts out as a Bible storybook. However, there are hints for simple crafts, charts, applicable Bible verses, everything a teacher could wish for in the way of lesson enhancements. Once the stories finish the gospels and Acts with Paul in Rome and all that he gladly suffers, his hardships are listed. The next section examines the epistles, explaining carefully what the letters were for, who wrote them, and why there can be numbers. The main points of each letter are developed and the doctrines presented are explained. Key Bible verses are highlighted and ideas that recur in other parts of the Bible are noted. Which takes us to Revelation. This one could be a deal breaker for many denominations. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the author simply set up what was being presented in the beginning of the book without interpretation. The material is laid out as written. Teachers of any denomination can present it with their own slant with no nudging one way or another from the author. That is very hard to pull off but I think he did it. I was very impressed. A well-thought-out index is useful, featuring charts and lists, maps, definitions and explanations, places, people, and special topics such as man, sin and salvation. It is anything but typical in that it is actually useful for someone searching for in-depth information, more than just a Bible story name. I am so pleased with this book, I am not going into this year's classes with the idea that this year is my last. I am reinvigorated. In fact, tonight I am going to compare what I have found in The Bible Made Easy to the little bit I have pulled together with my other materials. I've been procrastinating but now I am ready to dig in. My lessons are going to be so much better. The title should be updated. It is The Bible Made East—for Kids. Dave Strehler should make that —for Kids—and Teachers. I am one happy VBS teacher! I recommend this for teacher libraries but I also encourage churches to consider it for church libraries. If you are happy with it, think about putting a copy into each classroom. (I'm also a former school librarian. I'm telling you, this book is that good!)
Good resource for children’s ministry. Easy read. Beautiful graphics. Gorgeous pics. Great typography. Most of all GREAT GODLY CONTENT‼️
