I have been reading this book to prepare for my transition into Data Science and I really appreciate the level of detail and the comprehensive amount of information that Nick and Kevin put into this thing. Plus, if you're looking for even more information Nick is super approachable and if you reach out to him he is very open to questions, feedback, and to offer additional advice. The one drawback is that the book can be a little intimidating since it pretty much applies to anyone going into Data Science, so that means people who are going to be Machine Learning Engineers at Google or a Blackrock Quant trader you will love this book, for your average Data Analyst some of the Hard interview questions go a little overboard. Pros: - Tons of information - Lots of interview questions - Great support from the authors Cons: - Some areas get too technical too quickly and can be intimidating, especially the HARD Stats questions - The portfolio stuff is pretty generic and doesn't really walk you through any projects - explanations of the more math-heavy topics don't tie in real-world examples super well

This book contains a great selection of topics, aggregating some of the most basic and important data science concepts all in one place! This makes for perfect review material before data science interviews. Added note: I also had an issue with the Amazon shipment where several pages were misprinted on my copy (and which I noticed past my Amazon return window). I contacted one of the authors (Nick Singh) regarding this, and he very graciously sent me another copy of the book!

Really good and comprehensive overview

I appreciate being able to try questions from top companies and then seeing the solution to them. I think that's the greatest value in this book. The book offers a pretty good summation of all that one encounters in a data science graduate program, though not it much detail (which isn't necessarily bad. It's not a textbook, but rather a refresher.) I only just graduated, so I can't say this book helped me get a job yet, but I certainly feel more prepared.

Really well written book that covers all of the common topics for DS interviews. Could also be a valuable resource for people preparing for quant interviews (especially the probability/stats section). I mostly use it as a reference or to sneak in a problem or two when I have some downtime.
