This deck of fortune cards was so blatantly crafted with so much love for the Sonic series. Each and every card is beautifully illustrated and the guidebook is a great read. Highly recommended for the Sonic superfan in your life.

I do like the look of these cards. The colors are simple, but get the point across. I liked the flair that the guide book gives this deck of cards, and they'd be great to display. For that, I'd give 5 stars. Course, for usability, I had to knock off a star. For one, this is the thickest set of cards I've handled. I hope they get easier to shuffle with time, but it was a bit of a struggle to do a few readings. Wasn't a deal breaker for me, but something to bear in mind. What did make it hard was the Major Arcana. I think 2 out of the 22 cards are named the same thing as a standard tarot deck (Justice and Judgement, I think). While I'm fine with them renaming cards, I would've appreciated numbers since the names sometimes make it hard to intuit where they go. I had to keep checking the book when I put these cards back in order this morning. What's the "Travel" card without looking it up? Chariot? World? Apparently, it's Fool. All in all, it is a good deck.

What a well crafted deck with wonderful art and a manual full of personality

I've always been interested to practice fortune-telling, and when I saw there is an official Sonic the Hedgehog tarot cards, I immediately pre-ordered it. The art in the cards are absolutely beautiful, especially with the limited colors the artists used. They did a phenomenal job. And the book is really like you’re in the Sonic universe (love the little references too!). Absolutely worth the purchase for me!

They're pretty good, made out of good paper and the handbook really helps to understand what each card means in two different possibilities. Also the artwork is AMAZING, def some of the best official artwork we've gotten in quite sometime in the Sonic franchise.

Overall, these cards are fantastic, easy to read, guidebook very simple to understand. Art is absolutely beautiful on them. But there are 2 big flaws that keep it from being a 5 star. The first and perhaps biggest flaw is right out the box the cards don't slide off each other. They grip onto each other and are near impossible to fan out like the guidebook suggests and impossible to shuffle by sliding them around. Hard to draw and even harder to shuffle properly. They need at least some ability to slide off each other to work. The other big flaw is the lack of numbers on the major fortunes. The numbers are very important in restructuring the deck before a fresh shuffle as a full cleanse. Other than those 2 things the cards are amazing in design.

Just like anyone who makes their own deck, you can feel the voice of the one who put it together. The descriptions are very "Amy", so if you are attached to her personal style, learning and using the deck should be easy. It is explained in a way that doesn't expect you to know everything and doesn't talk down to you. She doesn't leave you feeling uninformed or like you need more information about a card. I like that the spreads are there. My readings after cleansing the deck have been far more accurate than some of my other decks. I enjoy games and the beings of Mobius, so that might have an impact, though looking through over 50 decks so far, this one has the best descriptions for a beginner, doesn't meander, and still conveys the personality behind the deck. This is the main deck for now and will help me breach the barrier of understanding other decks by glance and not constant second guessing and running to the dictionary pamphlet constantly. I asked this deck this question and it does ring true. I can read this with confidence. When my sensitive perception stirs and I need to reaffirm my instinctual/intuitive interpretation, this deck clearly states the truth and doesn't seem swayed by other energies, so no obfuscation, just the facts. The bonus cards that fall during a shuffle are like presents to me as they usually support the reading and only this and the nightmare before Christmas themed deck gave me presents like this out of over 50 I've handled. If I need to confirm I "cast" properly, the confirmation from this deck is more satisfying than any I have used yet. The art has a hint of mystery and familiarity due to the silhouettes and the subtle art is welcome as most offer too little or too much flair. If you are familiar with Mobius, seeing the critters, wisps, chao and other scenes will aid in connecting the meaning and aid in finding your unique impression of the card, everyone can read uniquely and still have a common meaning. The foreword from Amy was welcome, that part of the pamphlets is a bit imposing, but with her personality it's just right. A very easy shuffle and no gilded edges makes it easy to slide cards around. The backs of the cards are great for enhancing the mystery, so now I like to draw unflipped at first to enhance the anticipation, since the art on the back is the same standard and reversed. When flipped, you can see both positions on the card, and it is small, yet it makes the art when receiving the reverse seem not so foreboding, just personal effects to me. Personally, I use mysticism for gaming and have led teams to 100s of victories in PVP, doing so and have read the future of the reception for game releases to tell if the money is worth spending, as well as predict a match. If you like to do that too, this deck may help your connection for that, the theme fits and some beings need ceremony/ritual and a "game-like" deck may help to get into flow to read well. I haven't seen many video game otaku decks, so this is special to me. If you have sensitive perception, this deck speaks just enough and not too loud if you catch my drift. The rapport is so pleasant I find myself attached to the deck and just want to shuffle them to just be within the energy of Amy and Mobius in general. No deck, yet, that I've come across beckons me to just hold and keep reading them, so now I understand the idea of using the cards for fun, just to read for whatever. So, if you prefer softer energy decks, this is truly lovely for that. Though otaku gamer mystics might be few and far in-between, I am pleased that this sonic-themed deck exists to validate that mystics like this do live and breathe, and for that I am grateful. Now the urge to play sonic team racing is gnawing at me. I'm telling you that if you are sensitive like me, be prepared to play Sonic 06' unironicly <maybe not that far> or at least play your favorite after a session of reading, the energy is just that way. You'll get what I mean when you hold them.

I bought this just because it brought two of my favorite things together, tarot and Sonic the Hedgehog. I’ve also always loved that Amy uses “fortune cards” so I thought it would be a nice keepsake or display piece from the series. I wasn’t expecting much, I’ll admit, but I am blown away by the quality and detail that has gone into this deck. The art is beautiful. The cards are thick and durable, which makes them a little hard to shuffle but hopefully means they will last a long time. Every major and minor arcana is accounted for and rebranded for the Sonic universe. This includes a guidebook of Amy explaining the cards and the various layouts, which have also been cleverly rebranded. The box is absolutely precious and well constructed. I am very very impressed and highly recommend to any Sonic fan or even fellow tarot readers.
